I’ve been a hydro flask user for many years and I recently decided to give the kleen kanteen TkWide a try since they were on sale. I bought this cap because I wanted a straw like my old hydro flask but this cap is SO MUCH BETTER. It does not leak when inverted unlike the hydro flash, and the silicone straw mouth piece is a nice texture. The straw also reaches the BOTTOM of the bottle unlike most bottles which has always been a pet peeve of mine. I’ll be switching to kleen kanteen in the future! It’s a must buy!
Huge Upgrade
This product was a huge upgrade from the lid that came with my bottle, responsible for my improving hydrating schedule. The straw took a little effort to assemble as I was shy with cutting the silicone to avoid making it too short. Super easy for kiddos to drink out of but also the slide to open keeps the littles from opening to easily. Does soil if the straw is out and tipped over. Not an issue just a note.
A Must-Have for the 64 oz Kanteen
While this twist cap will fit any Klean Kanteen TKWide unit, I bought it specifically to use with the 64 oz Klean Kanteen. I have the pliable straw end trimmed for my 64 oz Kanteen. I don't know if it would work with my 20 oz Kanteen without trimming the end further, but that unit came with a cafe lid which is perfect for me drinking coffee on the go. This lid is my go to unit for when I play tennis or go to the pool on very hot days. During change-overs in tennis, it is very simple to twist the cap, suck down all of the ice water desired, and carry on for the next two games. No time is wasted. The business end of the straw quickly disappears so it doesn't get dusty or dirty (a big deal on clay courts and many public courts) when it's left behind. Its simplicity is appreciated when swimming intervals as well. If I drank cold drinks or water from my 20 oz Kanteen, I'd buy another in a flash.
Love this Cap
Love this Cap. Twist the cap and there is a silicone drinking straw. Twist it the other way and the straw is protected and the canteen does not leak, even if inverted. The best of both worlds. There is an internal SS straw down from the cap. A supplied silicone tube is cut to length to fit the various Kleen Kanteen sizes and then slipped over the bottom of the SS straw to reach the bottom of the vessel.
Great idea, poor execution
I absolutely LOVE the company. This cap, in the other hand...it is just sad :/ It leaks, not only the contents of the bottle but also the thermals of it. with this cap on my ice would only last 1h. KK definitely needs to figure this one out. A cap with a straw is ideal, especially when driving. Please Please Please let's get a 2.0 in the works.

Very good cap for TKWide bottles.
I really like this cap. It's easy to get water from my bottle while it keeps my water cold. I work outside so that means everything. The ONLY drawback is not having the extender pre-cut so you'll have the optimal drink-ability. Other than that I high recommend.

Have used this lid daily for several weeks. Really like it! You’ve got to close it for water tightness- but that’s true with any lid.
moldy, leaky
Too many small nooks and crannies that grow mold. I only use water in mine, but within a few days the straw compartment has mold spots. It does help to leave the lid twisted open (with the straw out), but obviously you can't do that when you're hiking or traveling. Not a big deal if you're home and can wash it every few days, but bad design for long trips. Also leaks.

it leaks after a few months, works perfect with bottles but it leaks on the handler...
