Already Faded
I’ve had this hat for about a month now. I was looking for something simple and versatile I could wear with anything to help cover the mess of Corona-hair that now adorns my head. This hat seemed to be just what I was looking for. I’ve only worn this hat casually as I wanted to keep it from the sweat stains typical of my outdoor adventure hats. However, around the two or three week mark, this hat began fading/bleaching on the bill and the back. I can only hypothesize that these are the contact areas I touch to put on and take off the hat. Pretty disappointed in the longevity of this fabric.
Great hat, dye problem
Walnut color fades really quickly, like in a few days... Would love if they could fix this and I'd buy more! Same hat pictured below:
Love the hat but...
Love the hat! Love the low profile BD logo but just wanted to let potential buyers know the Carbon color is actually more navy vs grey which is what it looks like in the pic. Would have gone with black had i known 'carbon' was blue.

Tried it on and sent it back. I’ve got a tiny head and this thing was too big. If you’ve got a normal to large size noggin, it’s gonna be good to sit on your dome. Wish they made a smaller size. Regardless, it’s a well made hat.

only had this hat about a month but its definitely down for whatever you throw at it! Well made, Plus stylish and low profile. Just what I need for nice occasion's that I have can be worn thanks black diamond!
Too big
The hat is exactly like the picture, really cool, but it’s too big. This is made for someone with an extra large head in my opinion. I wore it twice so I can’t send back. Bummed!

Stays on head!
I was looking for a hat that would help to establish my intermountain west credentials in the Pacific Northwest, and I found it. Having relocated to Seattle from central Idaho to attend graduate school, I wanted a hat that would: Stay on my head, look cool, communicate to the world that I enjoy the mountains and that I ski. This hat does all of those things. Already, this hat is getting me noticed.For example, my wife commented on how I "like to wear hats that are not traditional style baseball caps." To which i said. "I know." My wife stated immediately after with "I like your new hat." WIN! Additionally, I recently went on a sailboat with some strangers, because some people do that here in Seattle, and I caught a couple of people looking at my hat as well. This hat will even stay on your head in windy conditions out on the water and make you look good. Looking good while sailing is either rule number 1 or 2. WIN! As I am in my mid 30s, I would consider my level of expertise in the hat purchasing/wearing field to be that of a professional. Furthermore, this camper hat is being worn at least once a day, almost every day. Bottomline is, the folks at Black Diamond nailed this one and I recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a hat. Don't be fooled by the name, it's not only for campers. Go and buy one today and see how it gets you noticed.
