Arc'teryx  Bird Word Cap

I have a large head so I got the L/XL. I tried it on skeptically at the store, always expecting the usual deal breakers, particularly Arctereyx. It did though I checked carefully for the usual warning signs....scrunched down ears, sitting too high, let alone any subtle signs of tightness that might come back to bite me after wearing all day. It adjusted well with some slack. Nice looking cap despite not being much fond of a walking advertisement.

I see why people think it’s too shallow as I have a medium head and had to move to the L/XL, BUT, it’s an amazing fit at this size!! I tightened it to comfort and the look is great. Not too shallow at all. I have a super hard time finding hats that fit my head as it feels like everything other than a Yupoong Classic Trucker pushes my ears down and out. This is a god send for my head and the colours are amazing. Love the mix of black and beige on Rune, and the 24K gold is a must-have in rotation.

Great cap, well made and quality material but totally let down by design. The cap is so shallow it sits perched on top of your head. Nearly all my caps sit just above my ears, this cap was about an inch and a half above my ears. Going up a size may help but then I assume that the volume of the cap will be too big as you’ve sized above your head circumference. My favourite Arcteryx cap was the Calvus which is now discontinued, unfortunately nothing in the lineup comes close to that design and fit bar the Norvan, which is a little too stripped back. Unfortunately a lot of recent Arcteryx are being let down by ridiculous revisions that renders items ill fitted and poorly executed in design.

I absolutely love this cap! The Arc’teryx Bird Word Cap is incredibly well-made, with a premium feel and clean, minimal design that pairs well with everything. It’s lightweight but structured, and the fit is comfortable even after hours of wear. Whether I’m out hiking or just running errands, this hat keeps the sun out of my eyes and completes my look. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a stylish and reliable cap!

Love it i have it on every color. Great for hiking od even around town. Good quality. Breathable. Nice looking cap.

I like the material, quality, style and fit. Comes in two sizes so fit is better.

Better than I expected! I have been looking forward a hat for my trail adventures but I am picky! I finally caved a picked up this hat… and so happy I did. It fits great and easily adjustable on the fly. The material is light enough that my head doesn’t overheat. And (most importantly) I look great in it!

As other reviewers have already mentioned, the depth of this cap is very shallow. As a woman, I tried both the small and large sizes, but both sit way above my ears, which looks silly. I've owned several Bird caps, but this one is by far the worst.

Recently got this hat for pickleball. I tend to sweat a lot and most hats just don't hold up. So far I've been loving this one because it keeps the sweat out of my face and most importantly does not smell!

This is my 3rd one. Love material and wicking sweat. It adjust comfortably without pulling hair. I use them for running,working outside for UV protection or simply to prevent hair in my face.
