Stylish cap and great sun protection
I own a variety of ball caps. They all tend to have a slightly different design, which makes them all look different when worn. So, getting the right combination of color, fit and style can be more challenging than I'd prefer. Fortunately, this cap is a great blend of everything I'd want in all my ball caps. It fits snuggly, offers UV protection, has a look that blends with any of my clothing and can be worn during workout or just casually. This is my new favorite ball cap.
Color dissimilar to online photo
Seems like a high quality hat, but I did not wear it because the color (olive) is nothing like the listing in the photo. Its a brighter more "grass" green than the mute olive in the photo. Returned for that reason.
I hate hats.
I am not a fan of hats. I know I should wear one (I'm very fair-skinned and burn easily, and my dermatologist has been very persuasive), but I can't get used to them. I'm always aware of them, constantly adjusting them, they make my forehead itchy, and the minute I'm in the car/house/shade I rip them off and rub my scalp trying to get rid of the feeling. *But* this one is different. I forget it's there! I keep finding myself in the house still wearing it, or catch a glimpse of myself in the rearview mirror and realize I'm still wearing it. It is extremely lightweight, breathable, comfortable, infinitely adjustable (I am a solid medium, a 7 1/4 in fitted hats and this has plenty of adjustment space on either side of that). It shades my eyes without blocking my peripheral vision. It's got an SPF of 50. It looks fine, if generic, works for men or women, and has a good open space for a ponytail. My only quibble would be that the logo is a bit too prominent, but at least it's reflective. It's a great hat.
Great Hat
Love the hat, light weighted packable. Love the hook and loop adjustment. This hat was made to last.
Color isn't like the picture otherwise a great hat
Great quality hat. Fits very well. I am taking one start off because like others noted the 'olive' color is nothing like in the picture and just a regular green color.
moisture wicking
This hat is very worth it. I love how light weight and breathable it is. There is a noticeable absorption band on the inside of the hat that sucks up a lot of sweat and it doesn’t bead down my face as fast. I love the forest green color and it doesn’t show sweat rings yet which is impressive. It gives me protection from trailwebs which I appreciate. This is a very well performing and functional hat.
Plain hat, not my style.
I bought this hat online thinking I’d really like it—it looked like a light and breathable option, which I usually prefer for hiking. But after trying it on, I realized it’s just not for me. The overall design feels a bit too plain, and I’m not a fan of the prominent CTR logo. I usually go for hats that are more minimal or have a style that suits my taste better. Also, while the fabric is very thin and breathable, I actually found that to be more of a downside. There’s a black inner lining that shows through all around the head, and it creates a visible indentation that looks like a band pressing into the hat. It’s a small detail, but it’s distracting and kind of annoying. In the end, the fit and design just didn’t work for me, so I plan on returning it. I can see how it might work for someone looking for an ultra-light cap with full coverage, but personally, I prefer something with better structure and ventilation.
My new hiking hat.
Nice and light weight. Similar to discontinued North Face Horizon cap.
Good hat
Comfortable loos nice. Makes me look 20 years younger. Maybe more
Great hat!
This is a great hat. It looks good. It holds up well. I've been wearing the grey model for over two years, on trail and around town, and it still looks new. One negative is that it doesn't breath as well as I'd like.
