Good purchase for 3+ bikes!
It works as it should! I really wanted the Thule Classic rack but didn't want to spend $800+ for the base rack and the extension so I was caught between these hanging racks. I know Thule is a trustworthy brand so I bought this one in the end. Wasn't too difficult to put together. The instructions were a little odd in certain places but we figured it out. We tried to put 4 mountain bikes on it and managed to get three on snugly with handlebars and pedals in tires. We have another bike but had to order a straight bar extension to load it. We've only driven an hour-ish with them on but they didn't move all that much. Good purchase!
Don’t use!!! Rack failed!!!
The arms snapped dumping my bikes on the road at 55mph. Looked like poor welds as one side was cleanly broke. I wouldn’t trust this product behind trailer. And the straps come loose too. Added extra Velcro straps.
Does the job!
My family of four just did a two week camp trip across MT and WY. We traveled on semi-primitive gravel roads, two lane highways, and interstates. This bike rack held up wonderfully on the back of our travel trailer. If you’re in the market for an RV specific bike rack, then look no further. It also works just fine on any vehicle’s hitch. When not on my trailer, it lives on my truck and functions just fine as a day-to-day bike rack if not having a swing feature is not a deal breaker for you. On a truck that’s not a big deal, but might be annoying if you have a SUV and want rear access. Overall, super solid and does what it’s designed for.
Not quite what I expected
The bikes fit very close together. I had to turn the handlebars 90 degrees to get one of the bikes to fit.I have a mix of single speed road bike, a gravel bike, a MTB, and a hybrid/commuter style bike. fitting them on at the same time is akin to a Rubik's Cube! Once in place, pedals and handlebars are so tangled up, they will no doubt have shredded grips, tape, and paint after the first trip. I would only want to use this 4 bike rack for 2, MAYBE three, at most.
Strong and Sturdy Bike Rack
Got this to haul our mtb bikes across country on the back of our GD Reflection 5th wheel. Worked great ! Very well made, sturdy bike rack. Did 3400 mile trip cross country with no issues. I was able to mount my full suspension Stumpjumper on the rack as is but would have been easier with the top cross bar adapter.
Fits like a Glove!
Wow, best of the best of the best! The key is the two inch insertion bar! All the combined components lock tight in place! If you have a camper and want a hitch, this is the best bang for the buck. I no longer worry about my bikes bouncing on the back of my fifth wheel. Great Job Thule!
The rack won’t fit most of my bikes!
If you have conventional bike frames this rack would work great, problem is with the new swept frame designs they won’t fit over the two support arms. Out of 5 of my family bikes only one will fit. Very disappointing. Quality of the unit is good.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Thule Range. I'm sorry to hear your bikes were not compatible with this bike rack. It sounds like you may need a set of Thule Frame Adapters to provide the flat top tube needed to mount a bike to a hanging bike rack. These adapters are often needed for step-through, full-suspension, or other bike styles that lack a flat top tube.
Solid 2 inches bike rack
It’s a heavy duty bike rack, I installed it to the Thor Gemini motor home, plan to put the bikes on and test drive it, but I have not gotten a chance to drive it. Will update after the test drive.
My Bikes are at home on the Range
This rack is just what I needed to haul the families bikes on the back of our RV. It bolts up solid and holds the bikes in place without worry and the integrated cable lock is a bonus.
Not made for mountain bikes
Overpriced **** rack, can only fit one out of my 4 mountains bike it’s not freaking rocket science guys, one more inch of space inside would of made the difference, bad design
