Buy this rack but only from REI !!!
I have mixed feelings about this rack. On one hand it works perfectly for all shapes, sizes and configurations of bikes. Bikes with fenders, bikes with unusual frame shapes, and being able load all weights of bikes from heavy e-bikes,to super light road bikes. And lights to make it safe, even if the bikes block your vehicles tail and brake lights. A really great design by Thule. The downside... my first rack was missing installation parts and documentation (Thule factory sealed box)... REI took care of it by ordering me another rack. The second one, was missing a set of pads necessary for safe attachment of the bikes (Thule factory sealed box)... REI took care of it by providing the need parts. Finally, I had issues with the electrical connections for the included tail lights... and REI allowed me to experiment with the previous rack to help diagnose the issue by comparing the two racks with my vehicle... it turns out the wiring for the lights have connectors that needed to be unplugged and plugged to gain a good connection (I was getting a lamp out indicator on my vehicle dashboard). All in all, this rack is a great design (be sure to check that all of the parts are included with the rack) and REI is the ultimate in customer service!

Overpriced and not great!
This will work well on a lot of vehicles, but not mine. I have to remove the bikes, then rotate each side in order to get back my back doors open. Add that to the fact that the taillights and brake lights are cheap incandescent bulbs, and you find that Thule is trying to rob you of all your money. This rack will be returned promptly. Great concept, but poorly executed and so many shortcuts. The lighting should all be LED.

NOTHING better on the market

I purchased the Epos 2 with lights after I bought a new Trek Rail 9.7 mountain bike. It has a huge wheel base, so it was difficult to find a quality rack that would accommodate the bike. The Epos is FLAWLESS! Honestly, it has every feature I would have built into any rack; retractable mount support, available lock that becomes part of the bike rack (made by ABUS), bright lights to alert drivers behind you, ramp, locking hitch that is extremely easy to secure, lightweight, cover for storage, weight capacity, etc, etc ,etc.. I have seen a couple reviews that say it's difficult to attach to your car; NOT TRUE at all! I have had 4 hitch mount bike racks (1 Yakima and 3 Thule) and this is by far the easiest to attach of all of them. I have found nothing to complain about. The only thing I would change if I could would be for it to be able to fold inward toward the car. Everything else is so perfectly designed and crafted I simply can't complain!!!!!!

Excellent design. Easy to load/unload. Very secure

I would have given 5 stars but my rack came with a lighting flaw that is forcing me to make a warranty claim. Aside from the lighting I’m very pleased. The design and execution are terrific. Its top-dollar cost is reflected in its top-of-class quality.

Easy to install and load.

Just travelled over 1500 miles with 2 e-bikes securely loaded on this bike rack. It is so easy to install. Love the locking feature keeping it secure in the receiver. The bikes lock on as well with minimal movement while traveling. The tail lights are a must especially when traveling with a bike cover as we do. The fold down feature is awesome as it allows us to easily enter our RV while the bikes stay secure.

Awesome Bike Rack with Lights

Love this bike rack! It’s quick and easy to install and folds up when not in use so it maintains a small footprint when being stored It only takes a couple of minutes to set up on the vehicle and even less time to load a bike. I do wish it was a little wider, or had adjustable width. I have a Trek Roscoe with an XL frame and I was concerned about the tires being supported, but I just did a good road trip with the bike and there were no issues, so it still worked even with a large bike. I wanted a rack with lights and this one looks great and quality is top notch!

A great bike rack for all types of bikes

I bought this rack because I needed one that works for bikes with fenders, and with our Lectric folding bikes that have no top tubes. I just attached the telescoping arm to the seat posts of the Lectric bikes. So far I've just used it on my pickup, but do plan to use it with my camper van. So another reason for purchasing the rack was that it is RV rated. I have made one 950 mile trip with two 50 lb e-bikes, and the rack worked great. It's easy-to-use and sturdy. I did purchase the high-grade lock and loading ramp to go with the rack. Both of these accessories worked fine, though the ramp could be a little wider and sturdier. The integral lights are great too.

EPOS - 2 Bike with Lights

I am a long-time Thule user. Over the years I have expanded my inventory of Thule accessories and I have enjoyed using them on my many trips and activities. I recently purchase an EPOS bike rack with lights. I must say this has proven to be one of the best Thule products I have used. It is sturdy, secure and easy to use. As an proud Thule user, I highly recommend this bike rack for both casual and serious bike enthusiasts.

Outstanding, high quality bike rack with lights

Outstanding, high-quality bike rack. The integrated lights and license plate frame work seamlessly with my car's safety suite. Without a trailer wiring harness plugged in, my vehicle's rear sensors would trigger constant false alerts for rear cross-traffic and blind spots with my old rack—a real nuisance that required manually disabling settings every time. Now, the car automatically detects the Thule harness, disables the rear sensors, and re-enables them when the rack is removed. Beyond the electronics, it is exceptionally easy to load and unload, looks sharp, and the anti-wobble hitch lock mechanism tightens down securely as a nice added bonus. My only complaint? I actually have to turn my head to check my blind spots like in the old days. Oh, the heavy burdens we modern drivers must endure...
