Best aviators I've found

I've been searching for an aviator style with out the metal nose guard because they get stuck in my hair. There aren't a lot of options out there, but these are by far the best I found! Yes they are light, but they are not flimsy. I've only had these 1 month but have taken them hiking and my 6 year old has played with them (ugh) but they've held up well. If they were stiffer, instead of flexible, I think they would have broken. Also, I love the nose guard. It stays where ever I put it on my nose and does not move, even when getting super sweaty. And of course, it doesn't get caught in my hair when I put them on top of my head. I absolutely love these glasses and am so glad I found these!

PERFECT!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! 3rd diff pair of Maui’s... brought this version with 2.0 reader. Easy to adjust to the change. Very lightweight, I forget I have them on. Most importantly if you love an aviator but don’t like when nose piece tangled up, then this pair is for you! And as usual, great Maui service and crystal clear UV protection!

Great glasses but too big for a small face

Love the glasses and the fact that you can customize them. Super light weight but as with many of the light weight glasses, the do seem flimsy. I didn't keep them so can't judge if they would hold up. The only reason for the return was that they were too big and couldn't be adjusted. If you use the Maui help - they can help you find the right frame for your face and there is a feature that shows if it fits a small or medium face. I found another pair (the Pineapple and got the teal Frame with blue lenses) for a small face and love the even more (but it is a heavier frame).

Buying a second pair...these fit as if you aren’t wearing them (for me at least) and they stay on!

Looks could be deceptive

Received Alelele Bridge aviators with Neutral Grey Lenses. appear very fragile. worst thing for me was that they have a darker part in the middle and lighter the ends. the pictures on site are having such an angle that i didn't notice this feature. I never like gradient glasses. i could only figure it out after i received this pair. i have Castles, South Swell. Onshore, and Whiteheaven in various colors and like all of those. but this one turned out to be huge disappointment. quite flimsy and appear very cheap. very unlike Maui Jim

Lightweight and crystal clear

I have loved my Maui Jim Breakwalls for years and wanted a larger and lighter colored lens for driving after my Ray Bans broke on the bridge. I decided to try these in black matte with the HCL brown/yellow lenses and I could not be happier. These are just as lightweight as the Breakwalls and are far lighter than my old Ray Ban metal aviators. They block out all of the glare and make everything easier to see while minimizing eye fatigue. I’d buy these again and again.

Even Better in Real Life

Best sunglasses I ever owned, I could tell immediately. I was worried the temples look very thin in pictures, but in person they are just twisted flat horizontally. The temples are curved to fit your head, and the flat orientation keeps the curve from straightening, so they always grip your head firmly. These sunglasses pop on and hold tight, and despite their light weight and slender build they will never blow off.

Frames are too light, cheap.

The lenses are great, but the frames are too lightweight. if I have to make a sudden movement, they start to fall off. They also have a very cheap look and feel. I ordered them as readers so I could read trip directions and dashboard gauges while driving, and they will work well for that, so I guess they'll just stay in the car, hence the 3 star rating. Otherwise I would have sent them back.

Disappointed

Actually Disappointed!!! I have had the same pair of Maui Jims since the mid 90's.. A very Solid frame with solid Glass lenses that helped me see Colors.. (I am partially colorblind) "Crucial in my line of work" I have taken good care of these & they have lasted me the better part of 2+ decades !!!!! I was excited to order a new pair & the price for this pair seemed reasonable, However I was very disappointed when these arrived.. They are Too light, too bendable, all plastic, including the lenses, that are nowhere as vibrant as my old pair/lenses !!!!! I am sure for some, the light weight & Flexibility is perfect, however in my line of work I need a more solid frame.. Mostly disappointed in the Lens quality & apparent lack of the same technology that went into the older lenses, need to see them Colors... Is there another pair I should have purchased?? Sorry for the negative review, I do like this style.. Dave D.

MY GO TO BRAND

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SUNGLASSES I HAVE EVER OWNED! I am very tough on my glasses...and these take a beating and maintain their shape. I have purchases Costa and Ray-ban for many years and my husband got me these recently and I will never buy another brand. I especially like the flexibility of the frame. If you are on the fence you won't regret the decision.
