This is my 6th pair, dissapointed with quality

I got a pair of the Marlins, the color is slightly different than expected. I expected the colors to be warmer and richer. The top half is more of a Gray and the bottom like an electric blue?. In the picture it appears to be rich brown and blue with a hint of green. But I get it, the color difference could be due to your computer, yet I still think the actual color is not as rich as what you see on the website. The frames are thick and heavy, I have an old pair of maui jim canoes that these would be replacing. The world cup are thicker and much heavier than my canoes, This makes them not as comfortable to wear. That said they wrap around well and are good driving glasses. But I'm really disappointed with the quality. The inside of the frames is gray and some of this color transferred to the front corners. On one side they are smudges and on the other there are a few gray lines. I tried cleaning it off but you cant remove it as it was done during the manufacturing.

Overpriced and overrated

I replaced a cracked right lens after 6 weeks. The same lens cracked again about 6 weeks later right in front of my eyes while wearing them. Supposedly my head is too big for the frame. A Christmas present that cost as more than they’re worth.

Great dark glasses for cruising bright mornings on the Kona coast.

Large temples on these wrap style glasses provide great sun and glare protection on daily boat trips along the very sunny Kona coast of the Big Island. Like the Marlin color frame and grey lens. I added a 1.5 reader which is low on the lens which I think will help adjusting to a reader for daily use on the Bay. Just hope I can avoid sitting on them or losing them?!?

Best Wraparound Frames Under the Sun

A beautifully designed frame, electing the Marlin color scheme w/grey lenses, make this an excellent pair of sunglasses. The dark grey polarized lenses seem to provide the least amount of light coming through any other pair of Maui Jims I own. Then, the larger size frame & style blackout some of the remaining sunlight that comes in from the side & top of most other sunglasses. Add that all up and you have something that provides the most amount of protection for your eyes, while not compromising your vision because of Maui Jim’s awesome polarized lenses. I’ve found myself reaching for these more than my other pairs of glasses.

Endorsed by State Police

I was on Maui last week. Having left my other pair of MJ on front seat of my car at JFK, I lucked out and found a kiosk on beach near Grand Hyatt. The salesman was so helpful I ended up with a limited edition of these, with both the Hawaii flag on inside frame, a brilliant, folds flat carrying case. I spent 32 years as a state trooper, so I knew this was the premier brand. Just be sure you know how dark to go if you will use these for driving, and since our union gave us blue light filtered Ray Ban apparently to make brake lights appear more red, honestly, it was depressing to drive with them. In life, you get what you pay for and Maui Jim is worth every penny!

Amazing quality

Greatest sunglasses of all time and I truly mean that. This is pair #2 after Rosie the dog ate the 1st pair (she was okay). 8 years of Maui has made my eyes happy. Great fit, never gets old, and the glass lenses are unbeatable. Highly recommend these. I'll never buy a different brand again.

Disappointing

They scratch way to easy. For supposedly being scratch resistant they don’t do that good of a job. Then they are super fragile. Had them sitting on my counter and they dropped onto the floor which is wood and they cracked. I think I’ll just go to another brand that isn’t so delicate.

Best Glasses I've Owned

I've had these glasses for 8 years and love them. My nose piece came off and I need a new one. Other than that, best glasses I've owned in the last 30 years. Used them in Alska, Mexico, hunting, fishing, hiking- tested and tried. 101/10 rating. Love my Maui Jim's.
