Better fit than the Spartan Reef
I had a pair of Spartan Reefs for my wrap, sport sunglasses.. I was never happy with them because they felt like wearing ski goggles due to their size. The Kanaio Coast are a bit smaller and the fit is perfect !!! The lens quality is the typical great Maui Jim, the Trans matte black/blue frame is awesome, you have to look hard to see the blue stripes, dark grey color on the face side of the glasses. The fit is comfy... the new tan case is freaking BIG and HEAVY but very sturdy..

Perfect Is A Good Word To Describe Kanaio Coast
I've seen the word "perfect" as describing this pair in many reviews on here. I must echo that rating, but elaborate that Maui Jim has done an outstanding job with the form and function of this style. I bought the Blue Hawaii/Matte Black/Blue/Gray. The translucent blue highlights are very subtle, without being distracting or over done. Maui Jim optics are #1 without any question. The Blue Hawaii lenses brighten the field of view, while providing optimal protection at the same time. The super thin glass provides amazing clarity. I have many styles from a short list of a couple of brands, but these easily rank in my Top 5 Favorite Pairs. Outstanding MJ!
Long Time Customer
I have been wearing MJs for over 25 years. I currently have 8 pairs. I am very hard on them and I usually have 2 pairs ready to send back to get the lens replaced. I would highly recommend these glasses. I am in the sun constantly and the lenses really help with eye fatigue and glare. They are very sturdy other than when the fall off of my head and land on a lens which then shatters. This occurs from trying to place them on top of a hat when I go indoors and look up. I am a general contractor so job site visits are a requirement. Just put a spare pair in the truck for this. Love MJ and the entire staff have always been above board and helpful.
Great Frame and lenses! Disappointing fold up travel case.
Fantastic build quality. My first set of prescription Maui Jim’s! Easily as good if not better than older Oakley frames I’ve owned. (I’ve been less impressed with more recent offerings from Oakley.) The only disappointment was the fold up case that came with them. I wouldn’t trust packing my glasses in that case and then stuffing it in a duffel bag. It told the retailer to please return the case to Maui Jim. She apologized and handed me a paper bag. Luckily, I have a few Oakley cases at home. Frame price is fair for the quality. But it never ceases to amaze me how expensive prescription sunglass lenses can be. That said, they appear to be flawless.
Fit is snug
Would give it a 5 star review except for the fit which is smaller than expected. Other Maui Jim sunglasses that I own fit nicely with a medium size. These do not.
Quality, design, craftsmanship and customer service
This is my 5th pair of sunglasses. My original Maui and Duke are not repairable, however, the upgrades I've bought are fantastic for riding my H-D Screamin' Eagle Ultra. Customer service and repairs have always been spot on, courteous and helpful. Amazing people, Peoria office and owners awalt and Mike. Mike, we haven't had a cigar lately!
Blue look great, great vision optics.
My Maui Jim Kanaio Coast look great and provide a great view. Doesn't hurt that it looks good while I am driving my Blue Acura RDX....nice compliment, might have to match future sun glasses with color of car. These sunglasses are a medium size, whereas my Maui Jim Stingray are for a smaller head....but these stay on fine while golfing.

My eye doctor told me I needed to wear wrapped sunglasses and Maui Jim has very stylish, well-made, and cool glasses. They have fit the Bill for me for many years. They have made prescription sunglasses for me and now that I had cataract surgery they popped those lenses out and put in regular lenses for me. Fantastic thank you Maui Jim.
Perfect for a day at the beach or just cruizin' around
I bought these for sunny beach days on Maui's South Shore and they are just what I needed. They wrap around enough for great coverage without being too bulky. They are light and have a very solid feel and seem quite durable. I like them enough that the beach won't be the only place they'll going with me.
