Do NOT Buy These Glasses

I have owned MJs for nearly 12 years and these are my 4th pair. Do NOT buy these glasses. For some reason the lenses on these glasses are terrible. They scratch so easily, but not only on the exterior of the lens, mostly on the interior of the lens. It truly is unbelievable how terrible they are. I still have no idea how they have scratched. I won't be buying the brand anymore for fear that they have lowered their craftsmanship standards and are now producing less than desired products. What's worse is that MJ doesn't have a process for discussing these issues with them directly before having to put in a review (airing dirty laundry so to speak). Disappointing.

Killer Shades

Incredible shades. I started with the Red Sands, which were great. However, since my head is NOT the size of a parade balloon, I swapped 'em out for the more streamlined Pokowai Arches. They fit my medium-sized melon perfectly. I love these things because they're stylish (translucent gray frames, Hawaii blue lenses), but they are also incredibly light-weight...if you're after comfort, you simply will not find a pair of glasses that can compete with these. Well done, Maui Jim! Now, it's on me - I need to cherish these, and hold on to them, unlike the 6,300 pairs of shades I've lost throughout my life (approximate count).

Not Impressed

I really wanted to love these glasses, especially because of the red lens, but I'm returning for refund. No matter how many times I put them on, they just felt cheap and flimsy...especially for the price. They're very light, but almost too light that a good gust of wind would take them off my face. These are definitely not made like all my older Maui's, which not only fit better but have more strength and durability in the frames. Looking for another pair, fingers crossed this isn't a common trend for all styles with plastic frames....if so, would be very disappointing and hope they reconsider cutting costs somewhere else instead of the quality of their glasses.

Love them!

I do love these glasses I’ve had them a year now and they are great and the first prescription ones I have ever bought, I went for the red lenses which I was dubious about but turns out they are very good indeed and look pretty cool! They are the most light weight of the Maui Jim’s I’ve ever owned but as per super quality from MJ

Good looking but fragile

Love the look, the view through the lenses, the weight of the glasses but hate how easily they get scratched. I wore them the first day and were knocked off my head . Hit the ground and scratched. I’ve dropped many other Maui Jim’s and they didn’t scratch. Maybe these are too light weight? Buyer beware.

Great glasses! Crystal clear, dynamic lenses. Durable, but light enough for all day wear.

Almost Big Enough for 7 5/8 Head

When wearing these, it is easy to forget I'm wearing sunglasses. The lens does not seem very dark. They are extremely light weight and the frame is thin. Many sunglasses are not large enough for me. I wear a larger than average 7 5/8 hat and these sunglasses are barely large enough. But I'm happy with these. Note that the "translucent" frame is not translucent throughout the frame, just at the edges.
