Super Simple GPS Watch

Super happy with this watch. Easy set up, the user manual online is clear to follow, and the "button" to move between screens is nice and big to mash with sweaty fingers while you are running. I've only been using it for about a week now but the battery life has been solid and the GPS seems to be accurate. The first time I used the watch it only took about 15 seconds for the GPS to find a signal, after that it was almost immediate. I haven't compared the HR against a chest strap but recognize that all wrist based HR devices are "close" at best. From an aesthetic side the watch doesn't look too crazy big on my tiny wrist.

Works Well, Happy Overall, Problem with Accuracy

I've taken this watch on a few runs around Pittsburgh, and it connects well and syncs very well with the app and other running tools. However, I've noticed the real-time paces the watch calculates aren't as accurate as I would hope. Each time I've gone on a run, I've felt like I've had to run a lot harder to reach the paces I'm aiming for. And each time I get back and upload the activity, the paces I actually reached were much faster than what the watch was reporting at the time. It's not terrible, maybe 10-20 seconds per mile difference, but it makes me question how accurate the pace calculations are.

Died 4 months after 1 year warranty

I really liked this, but the battery died 4 months after the 1 year warranty period and it CANNOT be replaced. Replacement batteries are not available commercially and TomTom does not replace batteries unless under warranty. I would not have spent the money if I knew the unit was a disposable.

Keeps track of my training stats very nicely.

I love the heartrate monitor built right into the watch. You have to keep the wristband tight when running and keep it off your wristbone. Follow these rules and you have a great training tool! The GPS feature is very nice too although I have not had the chance to try it out much yet. It is a great package of basic features with tons of real time info available for an affordable price.

For Sprinting, General Running, & Cycling

getting to love this buy. had to finally consider one of these smart watches that are design for sports tracking vs fashion or activity (# of steps, calories, sleep, etc) since my ole stop watch died. while still in the midst of learning, i have used it for my cycling, runs toward track work and sprints. very happy so far! i get to review my key interests - distance, speed, time and sets... plus, it is water resistant, woot. i recommend this product

Short term solution

I bought the Spark 3 + Music. Took a little getting used. However, it only lasted about 8 months and then crashed. Screen went blank, even though when plugged into my computer it says everything is fine and up to date. Nothing seems to fix it and cannot find help online.
