made the switch

I had an Apple watch for years upon years. It has some great features but feels like a “toy.” The Apex4 does not have some capabilities as the Apple Watch, like the ability to text. Which I could care less about. What I do care about is battery life and gps for hikes. This thing has done and outstanding job, especially when you link it to Strava or create your own path with the Coros app. The MIP screen does have some “dullness” compared to the Apple Watch or Garmin. But I think it works perfectly for conserving battery life and it’s very easy to read in the sun. No need for the palm shade. This watch has exceeded all my expectations. Will continue to test and update.

Too bulky for small wrists

I love my Apex 1 and was super excited to upgrade Apex to the 4 but unfortunately I had to return it because it’s too bulky for my small wrists. The depth and slightly larger watch face were just too much. Additionally, I wish the watch would have remained all titanium and not switched to a fiber reinforced polymer cover material. The polymer doesn’t look as good as the all titanium body in my opinion. I still love Coros and will continue to use their products, this new Apex 4 just isn’t for me.

Still the best mountain running watch out there

I had my Apex 42mm for 5 years and it was starting to lose its ability to hold a charge. Tried a garbage Garmin that didn’t come close to its charge claims. It was also way off on mileage tracking. I had just ordered the Suunto Vertical 2 when the Apex was FINALLY released. I tested them both for several weeks and the Coros wins, but it was close. Way better battery life on the Apex plus I like that it speaks to you. I have used the nutrition alert feature for several years on my old Apex, but the verbal announcement makes it hard for me to miss or ignore the reminder. It’s dead on accurate with regards to distance, mileage and heart rate as tested against the Suunto, my phone and several other watches used by friends. The screen is larger and maybe slightly more bright on the 46mm making it easier to read than the old one, but it would be so nice to have an Amoled screen like the Suunto. I was concerned it would be too big on my tiny wrist, but it looks okay and feels unobtrusive. Looking forward to many years use in this amazing watch.

Great outdoor watch - 42mm size great for ladies

Great outdoor watch. Covers everything from morning to night and even how well your sleeping. The smaller size 42mm and white color made a very nice gift for my wife. The 3d flyover view is fun. and the "flashlight" is handy. I have the nomad model!!
