Great watch
I switch from another brand that I had five different watches over the years. I was very happy with the other brand but not the prices of them. I have had the Pace 4 for only a few days. The December update allows you to control the music on the phone. I am really happy about that and so far love the watch. Navigation for my trail runs in a watch costing 250. I thought why not give it a try.
Watch is great; avoid the silicone band
The value and quality of the Pace 4 is great. The battery life and GPS accuracy are top notch. I’m loving the metrics this gives me over my Apple Watch. Regarding band choices: the silicone band is inherently flawed. The clasp is a classic pin in a hole, but the excess “tail” is secured with a post into the other part of the band. This tail comes loose CONSTANTLY when you brush against something or put your hand in your pocket, etc. I probably have to resecure the band 5-10 times a day. Many users suggest getting the nylon band instead.
Awful GPS
I received this watch as a Christmas gift and was genuinely excited, especially since I previously owned the Coros Pace 3, which I absolutely loved and never had issues with. Unfortunately, my experience with this model has been the complete opposite. From the very first run, I noticed significant GPS drift along with inaccurate pacing and distance tracking. I gave it time, assuming it might improve after multiple uses, but after a full week the issues persisted. I then submitted a support ticket. It has now been well over a month since I contacted support. The GPS problems remain unresolved, I have not received a replacement watch, and customer service has been extremely disappointing. Responses are slow, repetitive, and unhelpful. I keep receiving the same generic troubleshooting email over and over with no real progress or accountability. What makes this especially frustrating is that I trusted this brand based on my great experience with the Pace 3. This situation has completely changed my confidence in both the product and the company’s ability to stand behind it. A premium running watch is useless if the GPS is unreliable, and even worse when support fails to meaningfully address the issue. Very disappointed overall.
Inflexible training plans - features
If you forget to push start at the start of a run there is no way to add the run that you did accomplish into the Coros Pace 4. I have the dog tracker Fi for my Husky breed dog. It is better at tracking distance and time than the COROS Pace 4. And here it is 2026. My recommendation for the COROS development team? Buy a dog, any dog will do. Buy the Fi dog tracker. Notice how the tracker is able to figure out how far the dog ran without the dog even telling it to do anything or use it it's paws to push any buttons. Then figure out how to make a human version that is as smart as dog trackers already are. Merely a suggestion. I am highly dissatisfied with the inflexibility of the training plans and training features and will be returning this watch. Thank goodness my dog has a dog tracker. When I run with him I can see how far we both ran.
top notch value
I really don't think you can get a better product for the price. Really happy with it so far. Also, very comfortable to wear as I have small wrists.
Keeping Pace 4...Good!
I've only owned this watch for about a week, but it has been excellent so far. Its features are intuitive and seem to work flawlessly. It strikes a good balance of having all the needed smart watch/running watch capabilities with making those features simple to access and not paralyzing you with too many choices and customizations. This is all amplified by its value at around $250.
