Was looking for a lighter alternative to the Atmos AG 50. More than enough room for my 3 season lightweight gear. The side zipper is perfect if you need to get into the main compartment. Having the rain fly included is a bonus. Only negative, cannot fit iPhone 7 plus in waist strap pockets.
Used this on a 10-day hut-to-hut hike on the Mt. Blanc route with no issues (Didn't carry sleeping bag or tent). It fit well and seems to have endless adjustment options. Weighs less than several more expensive 50L Osprey packs. Main difference between this pack and the next Osprey model seems to be the hip belt. The Stratos isn't as structured.
I bought this for travelling around the world and started with the Camino de Santiago. It has held up great so far and is so comfortable sometimes I forget it's there. Bottle holders are a trick to get to by yourself. Also if you don't fill it too much and empty the top part it will fit in an overhead carry-on bin!
First ever travel backpack and couldn't be more happy. The only bother I have is on the waistband where the strap goes through the loop in the waist pockets; when your carrying a larger load it strains it as if it will tear off.
Perfect pack for a 3 to 4 day hike. Great design/shape, light weight, and side zipper give you access to anything packed inside from top to bottom items. Osprey 3l water bag fits amazing and has great futures to it like the magnet clip and slide opener.
I bought the 36 then decided to buy the 50L one since I am going to go to Europe and South America for travel. So far I took this out twice to practice and it was perfect. I will be using this in Europe and South America.
I love this pack, plenty of space for week long trips and light enough for day trips. Straps and hip belt was super comfortable and adjustable.
Ii love this pack, it holds like an atmos 50 and wears like a krestrel 28
I have several sized packs, and this is my new go to pack. I bought it for a day pack to hike with my wife and daughter, and hauling most of our gear. Ample room for lunch, snacks, packable jackets, water, etc. Loaded at around 30-40 pounds is still comfortable, and breathable. I also use this pack as a Get Home bag, which has everything I need to survive an emergency for at least 2 days. MREs, water, fire starter, shelter, bivy sack, and warm under layers, fits everything, and yes, still comfortable, buy this pack, you'll love it!
I am currently getting ready for a 4 day track. This backpack is rated everywhere I looked as a 3 - 4 day pack. I returning this backpack before I could use it. I bought this to replace my go-to one. I have used 50L packs before, but this would not fit my food. I was successful at packing all the gear. Once I cinched up my 0° sleeping bag in a wonderful sea to summit stuff, I then fought for a good 15 minutes stuffing the sleeping bag into the bag compartment on this backpack. (Which this one is sewn in separator. Separating sleeping bag compartment and general.) I was able to fit it. Seams were stretching! I’d like to also add that I am 6’3” and 185 lbs. with broad shoulders. Needless to say, I prefer wide and long sleeping bag. It’s gotta fit for winter packing! I then loaded the remaining gear and clothing into general compartment and loaded other pockets with other filling stuff. I then closed it up and put it on to test fit. As I was taking it off I noticed my meals weren’t packed. I wore this pack for a few minutes. Before I took it off, I started to notice how uncomfortable the waist buckle would be after an extended time. I bought the right size for my torso and chose this backpack because of a review I read on the pack I was originally going to get! Should have stuck with the gut here! Great pack, just not for me! Thank you! I am an ultralite backpacker in late spring - early fall, but winter brings on the need for a few more items. Maybe in the warmer months or 1 - 2 night trips. As far as the construction of the bag, just as good as any other Osprey pack I have used before.
