Great light, poor strap

I bought this light to use as bar mount light for night MTB rides. The light itself is great. I like the combination of the wide near focus beam and the longer spot. Very well thought out light pattern. The strap on the other hand is poor. Mine broke on the second ride (smooth fire road) which caused the light to become detached from my bars while the still connected to the frame mounted battery via the power cable. It was a mess. I submitted this to Light and Motion. I'll update when I hear back from them. Side note: The package came with a coupon for $10 off a BarFly compatible mount but the URL on the coupon went to a dead link.

The lense has melted, warranty declined

Had this light for over a year, but used very infrequently. On the last ride the lense has melted exposing the LEDs. Contacted Light and Motion, and got asked $70 for a replacement lense, and denied warranty as they think I misused the product ("by keeping it on"). Will avoid Light & Motion products.

1 out of 2 work great:-/

I purchased this headlamp about a week ago. It worked great at highest setting but only for 1 1/8 hour not 1 1/2 hours as advertised. From the start the battery would not charge. Had to exchange which was fine but for $350 expected better. On the positive side the 1800 lumen setting could be used as an emergency vehicle headlight. 900 lumens is more then enough for me and will give you about 3 hours run time. The headlamp itself is not overly heavy for the helmet and the battery I just throw in my hydration pack. Overpriced at $350 in my opinion.

Very bright!

Purchased a few weeks ago and used it a couple times so far. Last ride was about an hour and a half on high. You can’t even compare the cheap 1800 lumen(claimed) lights found online to this one. Definitely a very bright flood light which is great for biking.

Excellent Light

I've had a 1500 for 4 years now and a 2200 for two. It is incredibly bright and the light is bombproof. I have never had a strap fail so I question what happened to the reviewer's light that would lead to it breaking? L & M have been using this strap system on many of their lights for a while and I think it's super-durable. Thinking of getting the 1800 now as it's been discontinued and the price is dropping remarkably low.

Can not turn off

BEWARE. The light has a decent light output but there is no way to turn it off. It is a light for permanent mounting that is not possible to turn off. Manufacturer gives no information about it and when contacting them they say that most e-bikes require that the light comes on when the bike is on? In my country I can not ride legally on road with this light whether it is day or night. I had to bin it.
