Rated 2 out of 5 by from You can do better It's not a bad light but the mount isn't great. It allows the light to swivel, necessitating adjustment. It's easy to fail to lodge the light securely in the mount by accident causing the light to go flying on rough road. (The Nite Rider light I had previously clicked in.) On the plus side, the light held up after hitting the pavement repeatedly. Battery life came in right at the bottom of the advertised ranges. I commute in the dark daily and it's not reliable enough for me to use as my only light comfortably. I'll keep it as a back up only because it's inconvenient for me to get to REI to return it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great light, bad attachment This is a good light that helps me see potholes as I'm riding around the city. I bought it a few months back, and I thought it was a solid product, until today I was trying to mount the light into its holder on the handlebar, like I have done many times, and the little knob on bottom snapped right off. The lack of this cheap little piece of plastic makes the entire unit worthless, except maybe as a handheld flashlight. I will be returning it to REI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Commuter Light Perfect light for my daily work commute which is 13 miles round trip. The battery life is a little short when on high beam but it will easily last a weeks worth of commuting or more on low or strobe. I've only used the high beam in fog or rain to be more visible to others but low beam will light your way just fine on most days. It comes with a USB charger so it's easy to plug into the computer at work and have a full charge for the ride home if needed. Only other gripe is the quick release on the handlebar mount which can be tough to get the light in and out of but it is sturdy and keeps the light shining where you want it to on rough roads which is most important. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bike light Bought it ysterday. Compared it too my, 2 other front lights. And one other 460 in store. It was probably twice as bright as the 460. Using the demo lights at REI. It was 4 times brighter than the 2 watt blade and covered 4 times the area. The pattern is better and much brighter than the others. There is now some discussion that blinking light attract both drunks, druggies and older drivers. This light just dims and brightens - in this mode it is not as annoying as a flashing light and is brighter than my 2 watt Blaze on high. This will mount on the up.right section of my Brompton folding bike and point in the right direction as it has a x y tilting mount. The light does get hot on high. I tested the light on black asphalt in the rain with my old eyes and my upgrade to the 800 but I think for people with normal vision this is bright enough. I suspect most will run it on 1/2 power.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery dying quickly I wasn't thrilled with this light in the first place because I thought the "pulse" setting would be more of a strobe, but is not. It's a pulse, which I don't think is as eye-catching. But I kept it because it was inconvenient to return. Now, after about 6 months of use, the battery is dying within 1 - 1.5 rides after hours of charging (my typical ride is my 9 mile commute). Oh, and the protective cover for the USB port fell off right away, so water may have gotten in. Unlike others, the mount was the only part of this light I was satisfied with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice light Very happy with this light. Light, bright and easy to mount. The side view yellow lights are very effective. The strobe feature is not a hard flash, but a pulse that allows you to get usable light for guiding yourself while broadcasting your presence to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with rubber band mount I tried to place this on my bike handlebar but I had problems placing the light on and off. I like the light I just don't like how to mount with the rubberband mount . I prefer the metro less expansive and a screw mount. Metro seems easier to adjust . My husband has more strength to remove the light. Also did not like where the charger plug was place ( HARD TO REMOVE COVER & THEN YOU MIGHT LOSE IT) . Metro has a better design where the charge port location is. I returned this bike light and brought 2 metro waterproof for 30.00 more .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to use handlebar attachment. I will be returning this product. It is hard to attach to the handlebar as it is a stretch band and it was hard to get on to the peg. To be able to charge, you have to remove the light from the handlebar each time as the light is permanently attached to the handlebar band. Additionally, I am not sure I like a rechargeable light when I may be out longer than the time it holds a charge. It is a dark commute in the winter.
