I took this bag as my personal item with WOW airlines to Iceland, with all of the things I needed for camping and photography for the week.
I bought this a month ago and have used it for ice climbing day trips, multipitch climbs, as a travel bag, as a school bag, and an everyday bag and it works well for all of these purposes. My ice axes sit a little weirdly (picks point a bit out and in a triangle) on the pack because of the way the pack is shaped, but really no complaints because it hasn’t affected its performance and it isn’t made specifically for ice climbing. The zipper opens up the bag really widely and deeply which makes it easily accessible but also makes it easy for things near the top to fall out. Fits me really well and I’m a 5’8” girl. The straps can be a little annoying buckled or dangling over a harness. All in all super happy with this comfortable, versatile little pack!
I wanted a nice pack I could take on a day hike or hit the slopes with, so I got this one. I took it with me on a recent ski trip, and it was perfect for the occasion. The capacity is great! You can pack enough for a family outing. I really like the bottle holders and straps on the sides. I was able to strap my ski boots, helmet and anything else i needed to carry to the pack. This is my first outdoor recreation specific backpack, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. But I am really liking it!!
I use this bag for everything! It has quickly become my go to bag for my everyday needs. This is the bag I take to college, it's the bag I take skiing, it's the bag I take hiking. I really do use it every single day and I love it. The side pockets are super stretchy and are able to fit my 40 oz hydroflask. The front pocket is super roomy and is able to hold everything I need for my daily swim (towel suit cap goggles) and the rest of my stuff stays dry. But by far my favorite part of this bag is the frame that it has. I will admit that I didn't have the greatest posture but since using this bag everyday for at least 8 hrs, the frame has forced me to stand a whole lot taller and be more conscious of keeping my shoulders back and sitting up straight. I cannot recommend this bag enough . the only thing i wish this bag had was padding on the inside of the bag on the bottom, even if its a tiny amount, i'm just nervous that i'll have something poke through it. but other than that this is the raddest baddest most durable and practical bag i've ever owned.
I Bought this pack as my go to daypack. So far it has been very good. I like how you can unzip it to open it up and get to stuff easy. The whistle on the chest strap is very loud which is nice if u need it. It has all the right pockets just what you need. The top pocket is nice with a inner zipper pouch with a key clip. The mesh pockets on the side hold water bottels nicely and are easy to put in and take out with pack on. The large stash pocket on the back is nice to put things in on the go like maps, food..etc. It has loops on the bottom to place stuff in and bungee cord and hook on the side to secure it to the pack. I like to put a fishing pole there or treking poles. The pack fits very nice and is stremlinned to hug the body very nicely and comfortable and hauls a load very good. Great Pack!
I use this bag for ultra light load outs with either a hammock tarp set up, or a trekking pole tent with a 55 degree bag, and inflatable sleeping pad. I have enough room for everything I need. Easy to strap sleeping bag or shelter underneath. Very comfortable back mesh padding to reduce sweating. Rides well, low profile. I have a use for every pocket and design feature. Best value in its size and price range
I have been using this more as a camera bag than anything lately. Its a very comfortable fit with just the right amount of room and features.
This is a very high quality backpack, I bought this 28 liters because I need space for my camera and lenses, tripod, space for my raincoat, fleese and food, I bought it for hiking porposes, most of hiking I do in cloud forest and rainforest, which I haven't had any problems so far. Perfect backpack.
This is my second Marmot backpack - upgrading from my light trekking 18L to this 28L one for day hikes. Great features including a secret whistle on the straps. As usual great quality and durability with all the details.
light weight and well designed storage make this the perfect winter day hike pack.
