This is a well-made pack and all around quality purchase. It’s sturdy and has a good build quality despite its very affordable price tag. Some things you should know before buying are: - it is pretty small - the hip belt does not do anything at all pretty much - the back of the pack is comfortable, but it’s a soft back (so it does not have any structure, unlike kelty’s other redwings) - better for shorter people Despite those things, Kelty is a brand I have learned to trust and love. This bag would be perfect for a one or two night camping trip if you don’t have much gear, a weekend trip to another city, or some ultralight traveling. But don’t expect to bring anything too heavy. Just know what you’re buying this for.
I have had this bag for about 4-5 years and I LOVE it. I am sad its been discontinued. It's a great no nonsense bag. Not too big, not too small. It's great for travel, day hikes, or working (if you work in outdoor sports/recreation/camps, etc). Has to stretch side pockets for water bottles. The sleeve compartment can be used as a hydration sleeve for a bag or a laptop sleeve. It does have an internal frame for back support.
