Questions & Answers

What size of a hydration sleeve should I purchase for my Kelty Redwing 32L? What brand?

Asked by: GEORGIA
The Osprey hydration bladders by Hydrapak don't fit the Kelty reservoir hanging clips at all from what I've seen, while the Platypus bladders appear to fit the clips in my Kelty Coyote 80 quite well. Personally, for a pack this size (32L), I find a 1.5-2L bladder is quite comfortable, and gets me (large male, heavy perspiration tendencies) through several miles hiking in Georgia heat quite well.

Noted that the torso measurement is "one size". As a female with a 16.5" torso length, would this be a suitable bag for me? I intend to use this on short trips which may involve a lot of walking/hiking, and for use as an airline carry-on.

The Redwing 32 Pack's torso size is 15.5" – 21".

I have a size 15in torso. Based on a previous answer, the torso inches started at 15.5. Will a 0.5 inch difference be that significant?

Asked by: Susie
This pack is only available in one size and does not have a suggested torso fit range.

Which rain cover fits this pack the best?

The 40 liter REI Co-op Duck's Back Rain Cover is a great choice for this pack. https://www.rei.com/c/pack-rain-covers

WILL THIS PACK FIT AS A PERSONAL ITEM ON A FLIGHT?

Asked by: JHON PEREZ
While it claims to be slightly larger than most carry-on constraints I've had friends who've even gotten by with the considerably larger Kelty 44 as a carry-on. This one should be perfectly fine and should fit easily in the airport sizers. Low-cost airlines like Ryan Air may be the only real issue as they're more strict.
