Bell Stoker is a great mountain bike helmet

I've recently started mountain biking again and my riding partner suggested I upgrade my helmet from the very nice road bike helmet I was using. I was skeptical, but once I started using the Bell Stoker I was sold. The Bell helmet is light weight, and gives good coverage to the head, especially in the back. The inner helmet liner fits snuggly and it is amazingly comfortable. The venting of the helmet is excellent too. The helmet took about two minutes to get perfectly adjusted to my head. It is so good I got rid of my older road bike helmet, because the Bell Stoker is just so much better. It is just as light as my old road helmet but gives way more protection.

First helmet

I recently got into cycling and got a hybrid bike. I don't do mountain biking but I use this helmet for casual biking around the neighborhood and paved trail and it works great. I love the style and colors. The fit is comfortable, unlike other helmets I've tried. The mountain bike type helmets fit more comfortably than the road bike helmets to me. My head measure 55cm and I can wear this helmet with or without a thin fleece beanie for cold weather. I am going to add reflective tape around it for increased visibility at night. Overall, I like this helmet and it was decently priced, especially for having MIPS technology.

I can't believe this gets such good reviews

Helmet makers are rushing their MIPS models out. This one is poorly done. After reading more about the MIPS standard, I am unenthusiastic about it. The biggest flaw is the visor--I think it is designed to break away easily in a crash. It pivots but there is no way to keep it in a particular position. On mine it sits high and slightly crooked. They put a sticker on it that says "adjustable," which is a sad marketing attempt to spin a bad design. Otherwise this appears to be a more-or-less conventional helmet, with a slippery plastic liner added to the inside, attached with breakaway tabs. It is priced toward the low end, and I imagine they've got better designs they're willing to sell you for more money.

Easily adjustable

I bought this helmet a few months ago. I appreciate that it is easily adjustable in the winter months, when sometimes I put a thin skull cap on underneath, which adds a little bulk.

High Quality, Good Price

Bell makes great helmets, and the Stoker MIPS only adds to that reputation. The helmet is comfortable, and I like that it offers rear cranial protection. And under $100 for a MIPS helmet is great.

Nice helmet with safety in mind

This helmet has good adjustments for a nice and comfortable fit for my medium size head. It also has a nice, unconventional design that offers good ventilation. It's priced right for a MIPS helmet.
