Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cold!! I bought this based on reviews I'd seen on the internet. Not sure where they were using the sleeping bag but anywhere other than tropical weather then you will be freezing. I am generally a very warm sleeper and don't get cold, ie I slept in an ice hotel and got hot, but I needed to sleep with full thermals and Polar fleece at 35degF in this bag and I was still cold. It's like sleeping with a thin sheet on that wicks away heat. The only positive about this back is it's small and light, but once you throw in useless the other positives become redundant. I'd try get a refund on this but I'm traveling overseas and there are no REI stores so I needed to buy a different bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tight fit i ordered the smallest bag for the price that i could afford since i lean towards the minimalist side. This bags does bag small but you do sacrifice some room mostly due to the shape. It tapers just below the hips and it makes the fit feel tighter than it otherwise would. I'm a little bit bigger guy but even so this bag is a little snug. I ended up returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice The NW 35 is the best priced, mid-weight, light sleeping bag in a small package that you can buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Summer bag I bought this bag for summer/warm weather backpacking trips. It is so light and packs down super small. I sleep warm, I would recommend this bag for 40 + degrees. This is a warm weather bag! If you use this bag when temps are cold you will be cold and unhappy. For the price, compact size, and comfort this bag fits my warm weather backpacking needs perfectly very happy with this bag.

Is the stuff sack for this bag at all water resistant? Could I strap this sleeping bag to the outside of my backpack, or would I have to make room inside the backpack in case I see any level of rain? Just worried about droplets - not submerging/soaking.

Asked by: Bomp
See above answer: "The stuff sack included with the NanoWave 35 sleeping bag is not water resistant. We suggest carrying inside a pack or purchasing a separate waterproof stuff sack." You could also get a pack rain cover or a poncho that would cover your upper body, head, and pack. I personally carry an ultralight poncho / tarp that doubles as an emergency shelter.

Is the stuff sack somewhat water resistant? That is, could I secure this sleeping bag to the outside of my backpack or would I need to put it inside the backpack if there could be any amount of rain?

Asked by: Bomp
