Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

Premium Bag for Wide Range of Activities
The Bantamweight bag fits a wide range of temperatures and conditions. Its a very lightweight and compact performance sleeping bag. Ive used this for multi-day alpine routes and camping in a tent. Temperatures ranged from 0 degrees to 40 degrees F. I use this bag a lot for travel to save space and weight. For very low temperatures (while climbing a big mountain for instance), I wear a jacket while sleeping. Attached is a gear testing video of the Bantamweight with an adjustable footbox. Though not included in the production model, that particular feature is included in other marmot bags.
Very light and compact 3 season bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice bag, recommended as a basic tool for all kinds of spring/summer/fall mountain adventures. I've used a bag like this (from another manufacturer, also with a half zipper) for nearly thirty years, and needed another for trips with my son. This one looks as good or better. I've also used a variety of quilts and lighter bags. These can be fine for low-altitude midsummer trips such as the Appalachian Trail south of Vermont, or minimum temperatures above 50F. However, somewhere below 50F, you want a hood. "20F" quilts of all sorts lack a hood, and aren't much lighter either. Very light weight is optimized here, with the use of a half-zipper and also a tight cut. Some people may prefer the comfort of a looser bag with a full zipper. This bag is warm enough for the occasional early-morning dip below freezing, but I would take something heavier if regular temperatures in the 20s are expected.
pretty good, if you’re not wide
went on a solo trip to mount whitney for two nights this past March, zipper broke trying to zip up to close. i think it’s due to being a little wide due to working out. other than that it kept me warm and surprisingly comfy, i would rate it higher if the zipper quality was better and if there was a way to zip it back on. did puncture a hole by the end of the trip
15-degree Bantamweight ultralight sleeping bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This my second Bantamweight bag, I'm a thru-hiker and enjoy this ultralight bag. It compresses well and it does a good job of keeping me warm when the mountain or desert temps dip below freezing. For a 7D fabric it does hold up. The middle zip is ideal for not over heating on the warmer nights.
Cozy
Cozy and warm. No room if you want to bring in your boot liners. Pretty tight for a big guy (across the shoulders) and similarly tough to get into the bag with the short zipper. Beautiful bag and super compressible.
Drinking beer don’t help the uphills.
I am 6 ‘ 4” and 250 lbs if you are thin and under 6’2” this might fit, the long was too short for me and way too tight . For the price the weight can’t be beat. I wish it fit .
This bag is assume.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot wait to take this bag on the Arizona Trail this year. 900 fill goose down. I'm sorry but I am not a "quilt guy". I enjoy the mummy shape. It is my favorite bag.
Plenty of shoulder room
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice bag. It's light and warm. The down loft is suburb. I was worried about the shoulder girth, but I found it to be plenty even while wearing a puffy jacket.
Nice Upgrade
Have not used it yet but I am looking forward to the upgrade, warmer and lighter, from my previous bag. Less than 2 pounds for a 15 degree bag is amazing!
Good bag for the right sized person
I was looking for a center zip bag with a higher temperature rating and stumbled on this one by chance. To be fair, I also own a North Face Inferno center zip, but it's too hot inside (rated for -40°). It's one of those items where it's not available in the store (at least where I live), but online. After purchasing, I gave it a test. The good: - Soft fabric, very comfortable inside. - It's warm. - Zipper is smooth going up and down the bag. The bad: - It's tight for the stockier people. I'm 6'2 and on the stockier side. This bag was extremely tight from the abdomen up to the neck. I could not fit this bag well. If you take off all your clothes down to the underwear, maybe. - It's tight for the taller folks. As mentioned, I'm a little tall and this bag was SNUG. There was hardly any movement inside the bag. If I was taller, I think I'd get stuck fast. I had a buddy of mine who's 5'10 and weighs around the 150-pound mark tried this bag and it was cozy for him. I also compared my TNF bag since both stated they were long; the latter definitely fit better and was longer. I'd use that bag as my daily but it's too hot using that for 3 season excursions. As such, my hunt for a center zip sleeping bag continues.
