Durable, cozy, warm, everything you want in a bag
Absolutely the best. I sleep cold, so I use a sleeping bag all the time, even indoors. I love the way a down bag wraps around me and keeps me warm. I've used a Helium for a number of years now and love it. I also use it to tent and car camp a good third of the year. It's soft, warm, cozy, and has held up through years of nightly use and washings. I've had some good North Face bags, but am now a complete Marmot fan. I have a new second Helium in my closet in case my first one wears out and Marmot no longer offers them. I have to use great self-control to not buy a third - you know, in case of an apocalypse or something. I also have the urge to give them to all my family and friends, though I can't afford to. This bag has taken on a sort of mythical feeling, representing security, warmth, and sweet dreams.
Perhaps the perfect bag
Reviewing after one season of use. Honestly the best bag I've ever used. Thus far I've had it out on nights when temps were in the 30's and on nights where all of my gear (sleeping bag included) were quite wet. The bag kept me too warm on both of them! Thankfully, it's very easy to vent and is comfortable no matter what the temperature. Some may dislike the lack of drawstrings at the head, but I always found them annoying and extraneous anyway. The baffle is a much nicer solution. All in all, exactly what I was after!
Great sleeping bag that's lasted me 17 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Marmot Helium 15° bag in early 2008 for a February backpacking trip to the Pennsylvania Appalachian Trail. The late 2007/early 2008 version of this bag is filled with 850 fill down, and is a single shade of medium blue. It's outer covering is silky-smooth. Even today, after being stored in a non-environmentally controlled storage unit for 14 years, the bag feels like a silk-lined cloud. I've slept in it probably 100 nights, So its due for its first full laundromat wash and tumble dry session to properly redistribute it's down. I accidentally left it packed inside its compression sack from May til November 2025 as well. But it's still warm in mid- upper 20° conditions without being cleaned and refluffed.
Classic
A classic still in production. I purchased mine several decades ago, and have used it backpacking in Denali, Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne, John Muir Trail, Catskills, Maine, Appalachians, etc.
Perfection
Kept me warm and comfortable all night camping in Alaska and Montana!
Very light and very warm!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this bag for shoulder season backpacking in Colorado. I used it for the firsttime last weekend. Night time temps got down to around 28F and this bag kept me toasty and feeling warm all through the night. It is incredibly light weight considering the fill and has a nice feel to the material. The only thing I would change is to have the secondary foot zipper extend further into the foot box area. It doesn't expel heat fast enough if you run warm.
Comfy in the cold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm, lightweight, and compressible, this 15° sleeping bag is ideal for chilly nights. The insulation traps heat effectively, and the zipper doesn't snag. Perfect for backpacking or camping when temperatures drop but you still want packability and comfort.
The New Bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of good to say about this bag. Very comfortable and packs down plenty. Easy to use zipper and adjustments around the top. Have yet to put it to the test outdoors, but look forward to many cozy nights.
Great sleeping bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as a gift for my son, he loves it and said it. He says it will be perfect for his backpacking trips and/or camping. Is lightweight. He is 6'5" and he says it fits him well.
Dyno-Mite
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kept me warm and cozy on so many levels. To car camping in the ADK in the dead of winter to winter camping near Stowe. Great investment. Highly recommend
