Stylish but lacks durability
I have loved the look of this hat and received several compliments on it this summer. However, I have been quite disappointed with the quality. After a couple months of occasional wearing, the stitching connecting the head piece to the brim began to separate/unravel. I was hoping this hat would last me years but unfortunately one summer is all I got.
Love hat! But the crown is squashed.
I love everything about this hat; coverage, comfort, strap, sun protection etc. etc., but after 6 weeks traveling around Africa in and out of my suitcase it looks like the photo. It is not quite so attractive. I am hoping to get the crown of the hat to "pop" back out a bit. The crown is a little large for my head (even though it is a s/m) and just putting it on does not remove the indentations.
Not durable
I loved this hat at first - comfortable, large enough to shade neck/shoulders, reasonably attractive, and packable! I took it on a couple trips and also wore it at home and within 2 months, the brim started to separate from the crown. Reinforced stitching in this area, particularly for a hat that advertises itself as packable, would seem obvious but evidently not to the manufacturer.
Cute hat, great color, nice wide brim
I love wide brimmed hats to keep the sun off my face. This hat is a great color, really cute and does the job. I like that it is packable, as well as somewhat dressy, so you could wear it with nice clothes as well as casual clothes. I also like the drawstring, so that you don't have to worry about it blowing away on windy days.
Sturdy
I own the small/medium for going on 3 years. It fits down on my head unlike other hats that sit high above my brow. The strap is a welcome addition when It windy. It does flop back in the wind and leaves my eyes exposed sometimes. The structure only has a bit off color fad to it but since I wear it almost every day in warm weather that to be expected. It really held up.
Perfect for travelling
Bought this sun hat to take to Maui, loved it! The whole family wore it at least once, it was easy to transport even got wet and still looks brand new. Great hat to protect you from the sun and stylish enough to use in a photo shoot!!
Lousy Strap
Bought this last summer. The faux leather strap broke within a day of wearing it. Exchanged for a better hat for less money. Don't bother with this one until they make that strap more durable.
Fabulous Sun Hat
Wore my hat on an extremely hot day. I wore it all day long. It was very comfortable and cooling!!
Good Coverage
This hat provides excellent protection while remaining fashionable! I wore it to an Easter Sunday event paired with a sundress. It's also good for boating, hiking, gardening, and just about anything else. It doesn't get sweaty or sticky and is packable. The chin strap keeps the hat firmly on your head even in the worst winds.
Feminine, Sun Blocking Must Have!
This hat is very well made. It is lined on the inside with an elastic band that fits snug to your head in order to prevent the hat from blowing off. It does a good job staying in place, without feeling too tight. This being said, for people who know they have larger heads, go for the next size up (L/XL). I bought a hat for myself and for my mom thinking that she would fall in the medium category after she told me she has a bigger head than me. I should have listened because, she is going to be giving the hat to another family member and ordering the next size up for herself. I recommend this hat for gardening!
