Wonderful hat for adventures! I am very wary of the sun due to medical issues, and I was able to go exploring on mountaintops and beaches in Hawaii with this hat (and lots of sunscreen). I didn't get a hint of sunburn on my head, neck, ears, or face with this hat. The drawstring securement is great in windy conditions, like the top of Mauna Kea! I wash it in the machine on cold, then air-dry. It's awesome.
I guess bucket hats aren’t my style
Bucket hat made me look like a lady. And it took several days to deliver. Estimated time of delivery was off. Unfortunately when I went to return via mail REI wants to charge me $7.99. I recommend trying on before you purchase vs hoping it works online

This hat is well constructed and looks good on my head. It's not just me saying that. Fashion advisor said it's a keeper. Since it looks good it feels good! It really does feel good. Purchased for sailing and sun exposure. Will likely buy another in a different color.
A great cool shade hat
This hat is perfect for hot weather wear as it provides excellent ventilated shade much better than a baseball style hat. I wear on extreme hot days to beach, golf course and outdoor exercise.
