Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic product! I've had the trainer for about three years now and it still works as if I just took it out of the box. For me the package was great because I was just getting I to cycling at the time and it was a one stop shop. The mat is great to protect the floors and the two hill climb boxes are awesome for shorter hill climb training sessions. I use it mostly in the evenings when i get home from work because its dark out by then for 9 months of the year! The only issue I have with it is that it is still pretty noisy when you get anywhere even near an 80+ cadence. But if you can suck it up and turn your headphones or TV up, then there's no issue at all!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love my cyclops fluid I bought the Cyclops Fluid 2 for my husband (and myself) as an early holiday present after doing a LOT of research among cyclists & triathletes. I cannot emphasize how much we love it. My husband is an avid cyclist, and loves having the option to hop on the trainer at the end of the day & not have to worry about riding in the cold/dark/rain and other unsafe conditions. I was surprised at how comparatively quiet it was, and what a hard workout it was! I am a recreational rider who also competes in triathlons, and it's nice to have this to come home to after a long day at the office - so easy to use, and we just keep it tucked away in the living room!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smooth ride and easy set-up I was able to easily assemble the trainer and set my bike up on it. The bike rides with a continuous and smooth ride and feels very similar to road riding. It is also very quiet so that TV doesn't need to be blaring to drown out the trainer. I use mine in the living room and can easily assemble and disassemble it for storage out of the way. At first I used a catalog under the front tire, but then purchased a travel block. I would recommend using a block to stabilize the entire bike. I have never tried the Kurt Kinetic, but I can't imagine there is much better of a fluid trainer out there than the CycleOps. Especially not for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic Trainer. I don't have a lot of experience with trainers, but bought this one on recommendation from a friend. It is smooth, quiet and effective. It is quite heavy, and you can tell it is very well built. Even the radiator for the cooling instills confidence in the quality of the product. It's fairly easy to set up, and much easier after the first time. I said it was quiet, but it is dang near silent. If you want to watch TV while riding, it won't be an issue at all. My only knock is that it is a little pricey. But you truly do get what you pay for. This is the type of thing where you cry once, when you buy it. Rather than crying every time you use the cheap ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Product Although my wife and I are casual riders, we wanted a trainer that would allow a good workout and was quiet, compact, easy to use, and versatile. This trainer has all we wanted. It was acutally a close decision between the fluid and magnet resistance. Glad we went with the fluid. Not enough resistance to stand and pedal hard, but sufficient for normal spinning. Very easy to set up and get going. Legs are not adjustable as advertised, but not needed if the floor is level. Since we're sharing the trainer, we need to switch out our bikes. Quick and easy to do as long as the rear skewer levers are in the same position on both bikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Uses Great alternative For Quick/Endurance I bought this for myself to use for recovery rides. I have also used it as a bike/ Work stand to make adjustments to gears. I wear an Above knee prosthetic and this trainer helped me adjust my position while riding, make adjustments on the fly to get off and on quickly for my specific bike fit. The trainer does not make really any noise at all similar to a weak blow dryer but the unit resistance is definitely there . I can adjust resistance on my gear to simulate a hill climb. I use it for endurance to keep pedaling at a stable pace for as long as I can to improve. I got a family member to buy one for use as a quick workout. Its a solid unit built to last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Ride I've been using the trainer for about two weeks and love it. Installation was a snap and the ride is smooth and quiet. Have used only one bike so far, but it looks like setting up for various sized bike is easy. The only thing I'm not sure about is the resistance (not a complaint, just a comment). Getting to 20 mph seems somewhat easier on the trainer than it does on the road. Also the power readings I get from Virtual Training (great program) are quite a bit higher than on my PowerCal meter. I realize the PowerCal is not the same as a conventional power meter, but the readings I get on the road seem realistic. Still give the Fluid Trainer a 5-star thumbs up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have had my trainer for a little under a year, and I... I have had my trainer for a little under a year, and I love it. It is smooth and the tension is very easy to adjust. It can get a little hot, but that is when I ride it for over an hour. The heat has caused my vittoria to get eaten up, but then again those tires were probably TOO soft for trainer use. Also, my first trainer developed a slight uneven rock The tension can be hard or easy depending on the type of workout you want. It is also easily portable to use to warm up before a race. I am not sure how often the portion your wheel sits on is supposed to be changed, but that part did wear a little quicker than I thought it should. Other than that, I am pleased
