Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second pair and they take a beating This is my second pair of the full zip marmot rain pants. I am 5'2, 120 lbs and there are very few full rain pants out there that are made for short folks. These are great and fit perfectly. I use them for everything (hiking, mountaineering, biking, glissade) and keep me dry. The only negative is that these aren't gore tex so the inner lining will eventually fall apart - but it takes years and depending on usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for staying dry and cool! I wear these pants to my morning boot camp when it's raining. They keep me dry even in downpours, even when I have to get on the ground for situps and pushups. They are pretty breathable, so not exactly warm. I usually wear running tights under them in the winter, but will probably be fine with just shorts under them in the spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants for cycling I bought these pants for riding on my recumbent bike during my commute. I asked a friend who lived in Amsterdam for 9 months what she used and these were it. They handled Amsterdam rain on the bike fine and are still going strong! They are light-weight and keep me dry. It's really all I can ask for. The full zips make it easy to put them on and take them off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept me warm and dry in pouring rain! I bought these for a backpacking trip and it ended up pouring rain the whole time. These kept me bone dry though! They are a bit tricky to put on over boots since they don't unzip all the way, but the easiest way to to open both zippers to the middle of the thigh where its the widest. After I figured that out, it was super easy to get them on and off quickly. I won't go on another backpacking trip without them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good fit. Full zip convenient. I've bought Marmot rain pants many times. They work great for a year if one uses them often. They work okay for another year. And then they de-laminate and fall apart and become completely useless for rain protection. At which time I buy another pair. I love them for what they are. I gave up the idea of perfect rain gear many years ago. The full zip is convenient for easily taking the pants on and off and also for cooling if one gets overheated. If they're worn without anything, such as long underwear, underneath, they stick to skin and become uncomfortable, but this isn't such a big deal for me since I live in Oregon and rainy season is mainly during cold weather. I buy them time after time because they do the job for less money than other rain gear that I've tried.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a 32" inseam.. I purchased these because I have a 32" inseam and they have a full side zipper for easy on & offs. But these were more like capris on me (I am 6'1" and 135lbs and I ordered a small). The waist fit but the length was not even close to 32". They seem like high quality pants but I will be returning this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain pants I bought these rain pants during the 2017 heavy rain season in CA. I am 5-3" 148 lbs. Based on the fitting comments, I bought a Large. It fits perfectly and can go over running pants. The inseam is 32". I just roll them up. Over hiking boots less worry about length. Kept me dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain pants and more I tried on a lot of rain pants before finding a pair that fit, were comfortable, and did the job. These pants not only served their purpose of keeping me dry while hiking, but were great for keeping me warm in camp and overnight. They also washed up great--I let them air dry. Oh, and did I mention I love the easy side zips for ingress & egress?! I do.

Are the pants for sale not the ones shown in the photos? The photo clearly shows that the leg opens entirely from top to bottom but the reviews and previous answer to this questions state otherwise. (worried about crampons)

One review states the side zips do not unzip all the way. Is this operator error or is it true that the side zips do not release completely for ease when putting on or taking off over boots?
