Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff works Punctured a hole in my rain jacket. I applied this patch hoping to save my $100 jacket. It works great. On my last outdoor trip I wore the jacket during rainfall on two different days. The patch did not leak at all. Good stuff.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not For Air-Tight Seals I purchased this tape expecting it to be stronger than duct tape and easier to carry because of the peel-off backing, this was not the case. The package comes with two types of patches; one with a cloth-like backing and the other is clear like packing tape. Neither of these patches were sufficient to seal a small hole in the side of my sleeping pad. Thank goodness I applied the tape prior to my trip otherwise I would have ended up backpacking with no sleeping pad. The size of the hole was about half the size of a grain of rice and was located along the edge of a seam which made application very difficult. As I put weight on the sleeping pad the tenacious tape would bubble up from the inside and eventually the air would start to escape from the sides of the patch. I quickly busted out my trusty duct tape and the seal was perfect even after I overinflated the pad a bit and put my full weight on it. The problem with this tape is that one of its "features" is that it doesn't leave a sticky residue like duct tape. All that means is that the adhesive is not nearly as strong on the tenacious tape as it is on duct tape. I would recommend this tape to seal small tears/holes in backpacks, jackets, or other non-pressurized tears on-the-fly. But for anything that requires an air-tight seal I would stay far away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good . . . It's been a rough season in the backcountry with little ski edge cuts to my Goretex pants and some snags to my jacket. Somehow I also picked up a snag on the leg cover of my paragliding pod harness. I put Tenacious Tape on all of these little problem areas. It was easy to handle and it has been very secure with no signs of lifting at the edges even in high friction areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't go backpacking without this Works well. Easy to use. Sticks great. Sure beats sleeping on a deflated air less mattress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rips contained in seconds Patches were easy to apply and mended a tear in snow pants. The fix was highly effective and waterproof. We used the black, haven't tested the clear yet, but if the quality is comparable then it'll work great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy repair that lasts. I have a pair of rain pants used for biking that caught on something and ripped at the knee. I purchased this and the pants are as good as new. As a bonus, I have 3 more patches for future use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for rip in jacket! I accidentally sliced open my brand new down jacket and was recommended this product. I cut a small piece and laid it over the rip and it fixed it up perfect! Strongly recommend!
