Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this pack!! This pack is perfect for backpacking on longer trips or mountaineering/climbing trips where you need to carry a lot of gear. I bought it to climb Mt Rainier, and it definitely has the space you need for that kind of expedition. More frequently I use it as my all-around backpacking pack, even though it's larger than I need for short trips. It's just so comfortable (the custom-molded hip belts make a big difference IMO). The only issue of any sort I've had is that the zippers don't seem to be made in the most durable fashion. They've got loop shaped pulls, and if you're pulling at an odd angle or too hard, one side of the loop comes loose (doesn't stop functionality, is just annoying). Short of that, I love everything about this pack, including the water hydration reservior and the fact that the top can be removed and carried as a day pack. This pack has gotten me thru many trips (even backpacking in Europe) and I am expecting many more years of happy life out of it. Oh and I also love the color, too :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very large pack that carries well for its size I used this pack for six months in Europe. It is the biggest pack I've seen that is specifically designed for women. It carries very well--both when it is full of gear and when it is lightly loaded. I found it to be too big for a normal day of sport climbing, but it is great for longer trips.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not great This was pretty much the only large backpack available out there for women- I needed at least 85L for my long mountaineering trip in Alaska. I bought small size pack and it fit well- no slippage and weight was pretty nicely distributed over my hips. But the negatives really were just too overwhelming. - pack head is uncomfortable. I feel like I can't look up or even straight without bumping my head on it -pack heavy, bulky and has too many un-necessary pockets and straps. -it's hard to lace a sled strap under the pack belt -this pack is very tall, just not a good fit for me since I am only 5'3" I tried a men's mountain hardware BMG pack and it think it will be a better choice for my next big trip.

Does the Osprey Daylite Pack attach to the Xena 85?

Asked by: ALu
No, the Xena 85 does not have the "AddOn" feature straps, so the Daylite cannot be connected to it. You may want to check out the Osprey Ariel 75 which does feature the "AddOn" straps. http://www.rei.com/product/846443/osprey-ariel-75-pack-womens
