Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Durable, a Bit Heavy I've ridden my 16 mile commute several times a week for about 6 months without a flat. The inverted tread provides pretty low rolling resistance while still being durable and grippy enough to ride on moderate gravel and other unpaved trails. Corners well in dry conditions. When it's raining it makes suction-cuppy noises when I turn, which is kind of quirky and makes me a little wary, but it's probably good that I don't turn too hard in the rain anyway. The only drawback is that they're rather heavy, but for the durability and the price I can't complain too much. I do wish the 29er size came in a narrower option, like a 1.5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rides smooth Used on the front of my Trek 29er for about 400 miles the past month with no problems. Only ride on asphalt so can't comment on offroad handling. Seems to handle well on corners but I try to avoid loose gravel. More rolling resistance than my previous tire, but it was bald so I would expect more resistance. Grips well, but haven't tried it in rain. Bought another this week to replace back tire. Overall, a good tire for a great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid tire Ride it daily, smooth roller, a little more balloony than expected. Picked up a small screw in one of the recessed treads causing a flat. Doubt it would have happened on the main bead. Great price for a good tire!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tires They feel the same as the Innovage tires that came with my GT Timberline 1.0. Maybe less noise. I ride mostly on pavement but they are fine on the slag surface of a walking trial I use. Fine on wet grass. I was worried they might be slippery on wet surfaces like wooden walk ways but there hasn't been a problem. They roll smoothy and there is little or no noise. A little tread rumble in turns. No problem with the inverted tread. 390 miles so far and no sign of wear. I should give them 5 stars but they're just nice tires, nothing amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TrailRider I purchased these tires for my new 29 in. mountain bike to replace the Continental Town & Country tires on my old 26 in. mountain bike. So far I have put 160 miles on them including a 83 mile ride. So far so good. They have the higher pressure and low rolling resistance that I need for riding on crushed limestone and paved trails. My one concern, which I have not yet encountered, is how the tires will handle on wet wood bridges or pavement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good tire rough and loud I bought a set of these tires and put them on my specialized Rockhopper the rubber compound is very hard which makes them long lasting but they vibrate when you're rolling and the faster you go the louder they get I hope these smooths out with age if not I will replace them with some Continentals these tires were installed and air pressure set at 65 lbs the rolling resistance is good very low and fast but you can feel the vibration from the tread design throughout the entire bike we'll see what happens only have about two miles on them now

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good on 29er MTB used in city This is my second one. A year ago, though, I dumped the bike crossing a stream on this time. To be fair, the stream bottom was concrete trail, and had algae, and I was going gonzo fast. But regular lugged MTB tires never dumped me. Still, it's great on city bike trails, quiet and smooth, and low resistance (I think). So I bought one for the front, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles well both on pavement and hard packed I wanted a replacement for my knobby 29er tires since have the time I was riding on pavement. I also wanted a tire that I could take on hard packed trails (such as the C&O Canal Trail). The Serfas Drifters fill in those gaps. So far I put in roughly 200 miles on these tires: 50% pavement, 50% hard packed dirt trails. These tires definitely stood the test. I have a drop bar 29er that weighs like a tank, yet I noticed the increase of speed when compared to my knobby tires. On the trail, I was rolling over crushed gravel, hard packed dirty, and rolling over roots. These tires performed a lot better than I imagined. In fact, I did a 50 miler on the C&O canal and these puppies performed almost flawlessly. On another note, the inverted tread definitely stands out and looks cool on my ride.

I'm thinking of using this on my MTB for use on my indoor trainer. Any thoughts whether the compound is too hard which will cause slipping? Thanks

Asked by: MarkD
We believe these tires will be suitable for an indoor trainer will not suffer from excessive slippage.
