Durable, nice ride
The electra townie original tires came standard on my Townie 21D. The bike is 2 1/2 years old and the tires have 4,287 miles. I keep the front at 35 psi and the reat at 50. These tires provide a quiet, stable ride and seem to corner really well. I have ordered a second set even though I feel confident that I can get another year out of the original pair. I ordered early because Trek now owns Electra and I am not sure they will keep supplying this tire. The local Trek dealer does not have any and they suggest I buy two other larger tires at $30 each. A larger tire is not recommended on my narrow rims.
Longevity
9 years and over 5000 miles on my Townie. These tires served me well, and no flats. Paved trails only...
Love this tire
I love this tire. I bought it for riding gravel on my old mountain bike. It roll nicely and can handle some mellow trails as well.
Excellent Hybrid Tire
Replaced by original tires with these and the difference in the ride is amazing. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
Great Product
Perfect original equipment tire replacement for my Townie bike!
Cheap Tire not worth dealing with.
I feel this tire is inferior in quality. The major problem I had with it was fitting it onto my 26" rim. The tire was so stiff and hard to get on that I ended up pinching the tube not once but about 4 times before I gave up and returned it for something better. This is a cheap tire that's not worth dealing with.
