Best Use Travel
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must For Any Boat Originally I bought these because some traffic laws require them (I'm not sure if other states do too) with a full intention on returning them. After a couple weeks, my kayak kept slipping no matter how hard I strapped it down, even with ratchet straps. On my first use, there was no sliding (yaw) what so ever. I used them on a 2,600 mile road trip to Lake Michigan and the kayak didn't move at all. Even going 80 MPH down the interstate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worry Free Transport Have you forgotton your Boy Scout knots? Take the stress out of tying down your boats by using these fore and aft. Sturdy rope, ratchet and S-hook combo is foolproof and strong. Sometimes the S-hook may not fit onto anything on your vehicle. You may need to improvise with a strap, piece of wire, carabiner, etc. Use a short piece of split foam pipe insulation to protect the finish of your vehicle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea Using these ratchets to secure kayaks to our Outback. Simplifies the tie-down process. Ropes with the package are just barely long enough for our car, not for the pickup. I since purchased the rachets and rope separately at a farm supply store - probably the same cost, but could get the length of rope needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Stuff! I wanted to have these for my kayak (front and back) since this is all new to me. I followed the instructions but found I had it backwards. Not sure if it was me or the instructions. Once I figured it out, they work just like I think they are supposed to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought this to take 2 kayaks to the lake. Work perfectly and held them in place.
