Good product, poor description
These are good straps, as typical for NRS, but both REI and NRS need to be clearer about usable length, which is less than advertised and is for the pair, not the individual strap. The 6 ft straps have about 5-5.5 ft usable length for each pair after wrapping around a half inch to inch and a half tube, less if wrapping to a trailer frame. The 4 ft straps have about 3-3.5 ft usable length. If in doubt, buy longer and trim. Good product, poor description.
Canoe Strap
It works perfecting for attaching my canoe to a rack or trailer. No padding under the strap, but I was able to work with that.
Does their job.
These straps don't feel as tight as some others I own. But, they are easy to use and haven't failed.
