Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still hungry... Mountain House is usually my go-to maker of freeze-dried food, both for taste and value for the money. This granola gets high marks for taste and texture (you can make it as crunchy or milky as you want by adjusting the water). Where I'm disappointed with this one is the serving size; this package was maybe half of what I was hoping for just for myself, and if it's really meant for two people each one would only get a few spoonfuls. I routinely eat MH's two-serving meals all by myself and find them to be enough, but unless they increase the portion size I'll be bagging my own granola.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great taste, less filling My husband and I have made Mountain House a staple in our camping gear. Their portions are normally generous, the taste great, and the cleanup, of course, easy. However, the portion size of the granola with blueberries seems small to me. The package is two servings, yet is nowhere near filling for me, and I'm tiny. I took a package to work with me to test it out before camping, and I'm glad I did. My stomach was still growling after I finished the package. I do enjoy the taste, though. For breakfast, I'd pack two of these packages, but one will do for a light mid-day treat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yummy! This stuff is great! I've tried it with cold water and it was amazing. I know someone that has tried it with hot/warm water and it was a nice warm breakfast on a cold morning. Nice balance of carbs & protein too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yum.... First time I tried this it was -20 and we were in a remote wilderness cabin. I used hot water, and less than the instructions called for, to make a hot oatmeal breakfast. It was just what I needed. I can't really imagine eating it with cold water, and more of it. Just stocked up on a bunch while on sale to use this summer & fall. May also use as a dinner when the other meals are too much. The package is smaller, lighter and enough for one person. I like that the sodium is much lower also. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid. Used a couple of pouches on a kayaking trip in Desolation Sound. Small amount of potable water and you had a great base (added in some fruit) for a nice breakfast. Would buy again. Certainly handy. Wish the packaging could be more environmentally-friendly than plastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Simple & Tasty! I've been eating this meal from Mountain House for a couple years. Simple & Good. It's okay on proportion (but wish it had another ounce of food).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty on a cold morning On a recent backpacking trip into Dolly Sods Wilderness, I woke up on a cold morning wishing I had a warm breakfast. My boyfriend was sitting on a rock chomping on his granola and blueberries and suggested I use less water than he did. I took it a step further and used HOT water. It made it taste like blueberry oatmeal and it was exactly what I needed to get going that morning. Definitely serve it up hot! My boyfriend tried mine and agreed that hot made it even better. I would suggest using a little less water than he did. Overall, it was a really tasty breakfast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes! Great final day breakfast. I love that this only requires cold water, so if fuel is short this is the perfect last day breakfast. The milk was sweet, the blueberries were bountiful and tasty and the granola was hardy. I would eat this at home.
