This reconstitutes into egg cubes mixed with chorizo-flavored veggie protein swimming in water. 5 of us shared one package and we still did not eat it all. One person rejected it totally and ate granola instead. One said it makes an acceptable breakfast burrito wrapped in a tortilla.

Yummy

I bought a pouch with my last order, ate it this morning, very tasty. I like it better than the breakfast skillet pouch.

Flavorful

I bought this for my vegetarian wife for Christmas last year. This mornings ice storm and subsequent power outage spurred us to try it. Excellent! I much prefer this over the breakfast scramble. The flavor is Excellent. A little heat but, not too much. I'll be ordering more for my adventures. I'm sure what remains will be flying off our shelf!

Misleading, does not taste like chorizo

Let me start of by saying this is not bad. Has a very smokey flavor, eggs are a strange texture but not horrible if that stuff doesn’t get to you.. but my reason for the low review is more about this not tasting anything like chorizo. Like I mentioned, the flavor is not bad, but if you are truly seeking chorizo spices this might not be for you. I think had I gone into it with adjusted expectations it wouldn’t have been such a disappointment, so wanted to write this review to hopefully help out someone else.

Finally! A pork free breakfast scramble.

So happy that Mountain House made this option of a pork free breakfast scramble! I know I had written in asking before and excited that they made one. I bought some and was able to try it this past weekend. It tasted great and has a great spice to it. Thank you for being customer responsive!!!

Bad eggs

These eggs made us all sick. We went backpacking in the Yellowstone backcountry, and 3 out of 4 people had the eggs for breakfast. All 3 who ate them got sick. (The fourth who didn't was fine).

Bring tortillas! And maybe a bit of hot sauce.

Delicious! I thought it rehydrated very well, and the flavors were nice. I was a little nervous about egg and potato rehydration, but everything tasted fresh and the texture was OK. Though I would absolutely recommend brining along a tortilla to wrap this in... otherwise it would not be enough food to satisfy 2 people, nor would the mushiness of the scramble be as acceptable.

Delicious and filling veggie meal!

Discovered these last year. I don't eat meat and usually don't eat breakfast. Ate on cold mountain mornings. Found them to be scrumptiously savory and satisfying, sitting in the drifting clouds at 11,500 feet. They are warm and energizing before a mountain pass hike or breaking camp. Buying loads more for this year's pack trips and kayak trips.

This was a disappointing breakfast. I think the real killer were the potato bits, which added a very dry and grainy texture to almost every bite. The "chorizo" and veggies were decent, but the eggs were merely acceptable. Still, won't be buying this one again!

Tastes good but too much sodium.

Finally found a vegetarian breakfast meal from Mountain House . Started eating it on the trail, but couldn’t eat it since it had over a day’s sodium in the two serving meal. It was just too salty for my liking.
