Black Diamond  Oval Keylock Carabiner

I purchased this to use for my horse slow hay net, works great for that. Tried to use with dog leash, seems to big for that use.

My application of this product has been bolt hanger clipping for anchors and for in-line direction points for rudimentary slack lines. Since oval carabiners direct forces to exist on the centers of opposing ends, this carabiner in particular is great for these applications Good project, reasonable price, simple design.

I bought this for firefighter equipment. It is easy to use and manipulate with bunker gloves on and the weight it supports definitely allows for life safety; it can be used for bail-out, dragging something, or anything in the middle.

I work as a wildland firefighter and it's nice to have a solid piece of gear to use if I need it. It is a simple throwback carabiner style that works great.

To echoe other reviews, this beaner is great for racking stoppers, hexes, and tricams because the gear won’t stack up on itself.

I bought this carabiner for hooking up my dog to a skijoring belt I wear when running. It works great, and is much better than the trapezoidal carabiner I previously used.

Have the new KN strengths changed? The new ovals are 23KN, according to Black Diamond's website.

These are great! Easy to use for things around the house.
