Use to make quickdraws.

I got a bunch of these and dogbones to make quickdraws that stand out so they don't get mixed into other peoples gear. They are light and small. Haven't had issues clipping ropes. Have received compliments on the set up. Good for any level.

My go-to carabiners for carrying gear

I used to use my main locking carabiners to carry my gear on the harness for search and rescue operations. However, I found myself always rearranging things because I needed one of the main carabiners or the other, and they were always used by the gear. I'm very happy with these MiniWire carabiners - they are super light, a pleasure to use and allow me to carry all my gear on the harness while freeing up my main, locking carabiners for the actual rescue tasks. Great purchase!

striving for a lighter rack

The lightness of the mini wire would be enough for a rave review. Does the job of trimming the rack weight to the lightest possible. And then they add colors to match the cams making these gems even more awesome. Too gimmicky? I bought one set at first to test them out. Then bought 3 more to make sure all cams, including the doubles and triples, were all color coded. Saves weight and time when fiddling with gear at the crux.

Lightweight & Easy to Handle

I bought these carabiners specifically for Alpine and multipitch climbing application, and I’m very satisfied with them. They are among the lightest weight carabiners, and their smaller size reduces the bulk of what I have to carry. They handle very easily, and, even in cooler temperatures, I’ve never had problems with managing the gates.

Great for incidentals

I've bought a couple of these packs over the years and they are great little carabiners. I use them for everything from ski touring accessories to rigging my raft for multiday floats. It's good to know you also have something strong enough to repel on in a pinch just in case. Though I wouldn't use in front of OSHA. Auto-lockers only ;)

freaky light but...

these weigh virtually nothing! although I have large hands and are occasionally hard to manage. while clipping the flipped way (ex. Right hand, left facing gate) my finger in the carabiner often prevents the rope from going in the carabiner. I switched all my cams to litewires. if you have large hands, think about larger wire gates.

Great new UL offering from BD

These carabiners are on par with the Camp Nanos in terms of size and weight. Obviously they sacrifice a key locking nose in favor of shedding a few more grams, but if weight is what you are trying to save, these are perfect. Hard to use with gloves on, but that is to be expected with a carabiner this small. Great for racking cams!
