Don’t top rope on these
Great lightweight carabiners for belaying or attaching a PAS or other gear. Great screw action that hasn’t gotten stuck either. I don’t recommend top roping on these because they wear quite quickly and get your rope covered in aluminum.

Avoid for Top Rope Anchors!
Absolutely do not recommend these for top rope anchor setup. I used pair of these carabiners for a quad anchor for 2 days of climbing. They wore down and had an alarming bite extremely quickly and covered my rope in aluminum. I’m returning these as they wore down after just 2 days of use.

It has a wide entrance

It has a wide entrance and it's size is similar to palm, making it easy to use. Also, the lock part is in different colors, so it is good to distinguish.

Still the value choice for locking HMS carabiners

BlackDiamond has been a good value and entry-level choice for several years with their carabiners. For better or worse, round(ish) stock carabiners are surprisingly hard to find, which I personally prefer for my top-rope anchors and tube-style belay devices because they run smoother, are less stressful on the rope, and have more material to wear. The matte black version was the only one available at my store. I had to give 4 stars because the finish shows wear immediately after just 1 day of climbing. In my opinion, the obvious wear highlights look cheap when the finish is rubbed off. I suppose this could be a feature for someone who wants to easily perform a visual check on the wear of the carabiner.

My Go To Carabiner

I like this Carabiner so much I bought both the Black and the Gray color. It is just hard to beat the value of Black Diamond equipment (especially their outlet and sale items).

Great all around locking carabiner

These carabiners are quite large but feel great in the hand. The locking mechanism screws up and down like butter, and overall I could not be happier with this purchase, especially for the price.

I recently received the RockLock

I recently received the RockLock Screwgate Carabiner, and I’m thoroughly impressed. It’s a high-quality, well-forged piece of gear that offers exceptional versatility for activities like hiking, rock rappelling, and more. The standout feature is the safety-designed screw lock system, which provides extra peace of mind by preventing accidental openings during use. This makes it a reliable choice for any outdoor adventure. It's definitely deserving of a 5-star rating for both its craftsmanship and its focus on safety.

Solid!

I got this for the work I do with dogs. I needed something that I was confident would not break nor open without me wanting it to open. It’s been phenomenal to say the least. I’ve ended up bit a couple times with some basic carabiners in the past but this one in particular has yet to disappoint.

Great gear

Love this to keep my PASS attached to my harness to keep soft/soft rubbing. Really nice looking and large enough to leave room for other attachments.
