I've worn ASICS for running for decades. I've been wearing the same style shoe in all BLACK for work the past 8 years. The latest two models Kayano-31 and 32, the soles of the shoes break down too easily. I've worn my latest pair for about a month in an office only. Maybe 50 miles on them (easy walking miles). The soles are already breaking down/peeling apart. The same thing happened with my Kayano-31's. But I thought it was just a bad pair. Getting a warranty replacement on my 32's. If they don't last, then I will be sadly moving onto a new shoe brand.
WORST sneaker sole EVER. After 2 3-mile runs and 3 half marathons training run, the sole rubber patches attached to the foam sole started to detach in multiple places on across both soles. During my last half marathon prep, I lost the largest rubber pad on located at the heal.
I've been wearing this shoe for over 20 years and this is the worst iteration to date. For some reason they thought it would be beneficial to replace the tongue with a thin piece of fabric instead of cushion. Resulting comfort is horrible. The toe box is dimensionally smaller than my previous Kayano 30. I'll be returning the 2 pairs and looking at a different manufacturer, even though I have exclusively worn Kayano gel shoes for more than 20 years!! Whoever made the design changes should be flogged.
I was so excited to get these shoes, but they have been a complete disappointment. From the first wear, they were incredibly uncomfortable with zero arch support – it felt like walking on planks of wood. The real issue, though, is the terrible quality. After less than a week of normal use, the glue holding the sole to the shoe started coming undone. I can literally peel the sole back with my finger. These are poorly made and a total waste of money. The worst part is now too that ASICS won’t stand by their products and take care of their customers. AVOID- Don't make the same mistake I did.
Absolute garbage. The lowest quality of Asics I have ever purchased. Very comfortable at first and within 4 weeks the supporting rubber on the shoe collapsed. I am 6' and 235 so I am not obese. Don't waste your money!
The shoes are too tight and they are 11.5 I I am super disappointed
Very comfort stable performance excellent for runners
I actually had a new pair of Gel Kayano 31's in a box when I heard the 32's were coming out. So I waited for them to arrive in stores and tried them out. They were more comfortable and better fitting. The 2mm increased height in the forefoot really makes a difference. There was too much roll off in the 31's. The 32's are a lot more natural. I like the revised tongue, and improvements in the heel also. I think it says a lot that asics took a really good shoe and cared enough to perfect it. I'm extremely happy with the 32's. Love the "Winter Sea/Midnight" color. Now I'm waiting and hoping for a new graphite grey colorway.
Always liked to his shoe, however the need to copy another brands style with height insole is more harmful. These shoes nor wear horribly if you need an insert. The stress put on my ankles was more than uncomfortable and it felt than it accentuated the pronation versus stabilizing my feet. Would not purchase again and would encourage asics to rethink what they are doing.
I was really impressed with the comfort of these sneakers, but unfortunately, their durability fell short of my expectations. After just a couple of weeks of wear, the stitching on the tongue's middle fabric started to come loose and detach. For a product that's supposed to be a quality offering, it's disappointing to see such a premature issue with minimal use.
