Perfect - if you can get it on sale

I'm not sure I would pay full price for these as there is better stuff for not that much more money, but for a good sale price this is a steal. Perfect soft shell pants for a beginner to ice climbing or winter hiking, and honestly probably a great one or two-use beater for mountaineering expeditions. Surprisingly warm, stretchy, does its job without many frills. Pockets are not very deep at all and there isn't much in the way of adjustability compared to more expensive products. Again, if these aren't on sale I would consider something higher end if you're gonna pay $100+ anyway.

Nice pants but...

Well made and the fit is good. They don't breathe well and stayed clammy for the hour plus drive back from the high country. Could be good for lower output activities where you don't work up a sweat.

Nice ski pants

These pants are super comfy and durable. They dont offer a ton of padding or warmth so layers are necessary. Overall, great buy.
