No muss, no fuss backpack

I used the Hauler Hills for the first time for a week-long casual business trip. I say that because I packed more into it than a normally would to fit a variety of social situations. I would say I packed quite a bit but did not overstuff the bag. On 3 different planes, it fit just fine under the seat with a little overlap with my toes. At 5'2", I'm quite short, so if you're a taller person looking to use this as a personal item, you will most likely want to put it in the overhead bin. However, on my return flight on smaller plane, the flight attendant did have me move my bag into an overhead bin. I imagine that was just her being thorough? On the same flight out, the flight attendant did not ask me to move the bag. Either way, if you're a one bag traveler, the Hauler Hills will work fine on pretty much any US domestic flight. The bag itself is light weight and a very pliant material, so you are able to squish it down if you don't over pack. That being said - it can get heavy. I didn't weigh my bag, but I did pack my laptop and running shoes. The straps could get uncomfortable but not unbearable. I wish the straps were just a smidge wider. I'm personally not a fan of hip belts which this bag does not have. What I really liked are the handles. They're very sturdy. Also, this bag is a big rectangle and stands up great on its own when you put it down. I did not experience any rain with this bag and can't attest to its water resistance. Overall, I liked this bag, and I plan on using this bag for future travel.

Great international travel bag

This backpack is my new favorite travel bag. I have been trying out different bags for our family to use for a long europe trip coming up. I have had a cotopaxi alpa 35 for a few years and love that, but this bag is ever better in my opinion. My favorite parts are the really nice mesh divider/dirty laundry holder. It lets you pack with no cubes and holds everything on each side so nice. The backpack is lightweight but holds its structure better than the cotopaxi. I also love the two handles on the side that make it easy to carry or fold up and move out the way when you are packing or unpacking with out dumping all your belongings. It holds just as much probably more than the Alpa 35 but looks more compact and fits the guidelines for airlines like RyanAir which has oddly small large carry on dimensions and it can be hard to find a bag that actually fits that and maximizes the carry capacity, this one does.

Hard to access everything

Not the best fit and design. The zippers inside are in the wrong position and this bag isn’t easy to open and get things out of. I like that it can hold so much but it’s too uncomfortable with weight.
