stretch hoody

I bought a black medium MH stretch hoody , most comfortable down hoody I ever had , material is great not like the crunchy plastic normal down hoody. No cons I’ve found yet , even fit under my Arcteryx shell no problem love the movement and fit wish i learned about this one earlier great buy at REI with the 20 percent off coupon

Cozy and warm

I didn't buy this item for high exertion or winter backpacking (too warm and heavy, not very packable) - it's for day hikes on cold days (it's perfect @ -7°C to about -15°C and long forest walks with my high energy GSP. For these activities I'm loving the hoody. The fabric is soft and provides much better wind resistance than a regular down puffy. It would be even more awsome and useful for a wider range of activities with a higher down weight (800-850).

Weight is wrong in the description

I purchased this for sheep hunting. When I got it in the mail it felt way heavier and bulkier than advertised. It's about double the advertised weight. They claim 9.3oz but it is closer to 18oz. That's a pretty significant difference and "approximately" doesn't seem to be used in good faith on this one. I overall think very highly of Mountain Hardware products. I have used and trusted many of their products for military deployments, mountaineering, sheep hunting, climbing Denali etc. If they put the correct specs in the description I wouldn't have purchased it. It appears to be made well but would be better suited for beers at the bon fire after the adventure than during it. I still gave it three stars because it is well made and sturdy. I just wouldn't use it for anything that requires me carrying it in a backpack for more than a day.

Lightweight fall jacket sized too small

This is a very lightweight jacket. Temps around 0C to 10C (30-50 F) is the sweet spot. It's well made. The other thing to know is sizing. Unlike what they say in the description, it does not run true to size. It feels super snug. Order one size up. I am 5'8" (172cm) and I ordered the small size because the model in the pic was wearing medium and it says he is 185cm. Boy was I wrong. It is like wearing a kids jacket.

Zipper broke

I'm a huge Mountain Hardwear fan and I've been buying there stuff for years. I originally loved this jacket, the material feels great and it keeps you warm in cold conditions. I'm leaving a bad review because the zipper broke in literally a year after some very light use. I bought this jacket at full price and felt like I got totally shafted. I'm going to look elsewhere for puffy jackets in the future.

amazing jacket

I bought this for cold weather F3 workouts and cold weather backpacking hikes. Fit is awesome. It is light weight and stretches when I need it to, and stands up to excises on the ground with no problem. Lies of anecdotes in this coat make it very flexible including the double zips (great for ventilation), waist

Horrible Design in the Cuffs

The sleeves are horrible! I wanted to love this jacket but the sleeve cuffs are so annoying. There is no elastic cuff but instead this uncomfortable, rigid fabric underneath the cuff. I had to return and go with a different puffer. I don’t understand why the “light” version of this has cuffs but not this one.

Disappointed

Love the look of this coat, unfortunately after I washed it, (and I did follow the laundering instructions), most of the fill shifted from the shoulders down the sleeves and body. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I'm disappointed in the design as I figured this wouldn't have happened.
