Mountain Hardwear  Stretchdown Light Down Jacket - Men's

I got this jacket to play golf int eh winter and it has been stellar - it i not a tight fit and the material is thin, so it works for a wide range of temperatures. It is surprisingly warm - like with all jackets in the cold it needs to fit your waist snugly or you need to have a baselayer that fills up the gap and prevents wind from getting underneath. I wear this one a lot - it kind of works its way into your rotation and tends to shove all the other jackets out :) Thilled is my simple review. It is typical Mountain Hardware all around, and if you are looking for a v ery versatile thin down jacket, this is the one.

I liked the look of this jacket when I bought it but its utility has exceeded my expectations. It can be used as an insulating midlayer or on its own. Most down puffer jackets are too warm for any activity with much exertion while tearing easily. This jacket solves both problems, being warm without cooking you and having a more durable fabric. Sizing was a bit questionable if you are used to European brands, but at 6 foot 175 lbs, the medium fits perfectly with a little bit of extra room for bulkier clothes underneath.

Exactly what I wanted in a mid layer down jacket. Perfect for sub 15 degree (f) days under the shell for slope use. Nice and light weight, comfortable and most importantly stretchy which is what I wanted from other down jackets. Inside drop pockets are a nice convenience. I’m 5’10 170lbs and a medium fits exactly how I want it to. Thank you MH for coming out with a thinner version of the stretch down jacket.

Great coat. Super light weight and the stretch is just enough to give your arms and body more freedom of movement. Pocket sizes are good on exterior and interior. As noted in previous reviews, no chest pocket, but not a dealbreaker for me.

I own know two of the Stretch-Down jackets. One for my hunting and fishing activities, and the other one for Casual wear. Mountain hardware product, the fit finishes, superb, warm and comfortable to wear as mid-layering and outer wear.

One month in and I find myself grabbing this jacket a lot. Great fit and the stretch makes it easy to move and drive in. My only suggestion would be to make a 800 or 850 fill in the Stretchdown lineup so there was a warmer option.

i use this and also the parka version on rotation.... its a great packable midlayer that feels like it can take abuse. Its great for fall hikes, approaches, or just the walk to the coffee shop. Size feels true.

True to size and fit. I am 5ft10" and I got a medium. Kept me pretty warm in near freezing temperatures when coupled with my merino wool base layer. I would highly recommend this jacket.

I'm pleased with the style, fit, and color. The matte color of the fabric is an excellent finish for on the trail and around the town. It's super flexible and comfortable to wear.

Nice looking and very lightweight. Good for late autumn and early winter. I’d go with something heavier if it’s below 25F, but this is great for the purpose.
