Feels like the old Novablast I loved and miss!! If you think the novablast 4 is hard as a rock and uninspiring like I do and miss the Novablast 1 and 2 this is your shoe. This shoe basically combines the things I liked from the first three Novablast years in one light bouncy shoe with a stretchy upper and a normal size heel . It fits true to size for me maybe slightly shorter than some other asics but has a less pointy toe box and maybe a little wider or a least feels that way because of the stretchy upper. I would guess it would accommodate many foot shapes. The tri 16 is a home run in my book.
Surprisingly good running shoe. I’ve seen the Noosa Tri around for many years, always wild colors and patterns, always eye catching. I was always happy with whatever I was running in at the time and always thought…maybe next time. Well, next time finally came and I decided to give the Noosa Tri 16 a shot. Let’s start with the fit…they’re a little on the snug side, I wear an 11 in everything and usually that works out just fine. The Noosa 16 fit more like a 10&3/4 than an 11. Nonetheless they’ve become my brick workout shoes with no socks and I’m really happy with them in that capacity. These shoes excel at every distance I’ve tried them at from a short speed workout to a 13-14mi easy pace day. They feel great for my midfoot strike, roll off the toe really nicely and the foam is amazingly smooth, soft, bouncy and comfortable. The upper breathes well and like I mentioned, 80% of my miles in these are barefoot and the liner of the shoe is soft, smooth and very comfortable.
I love the design. I love all the colorways of this shoe. So I thought that would be it but man, I really like running in this as well. I didn't not expect this to be such a good running shoe.
Bought them a month ago and are absolutely great! Very comfortable, smooth and light. The run a bit small, but I just asked for a biggest size and we were all set!
You changed the tongue to now be thin material with a large hole in it so whatever socks you wear better match your shoes! 🙄 You also took away the anti collapse in the back and instead put a loop of material. Why fix what wasn't broken. The anti collapse was so much better. Colors this time are also lame and limited. I have exclusively switched to tri Noosa and never have commented to company before on shoes but this time I had to write you about it. What are you thinking????
I’ve been wearing tri noosas the last 5 years or so with the tri noosa 15s being my favorite running shoe of all time. I had 4 pairs of the 15s, went through 2 pairs for running and 2 pairs working as a nurse. The tri noosa 16 is like they through the 15s off a cliff into a squeaky abyss. These shoes are not comfortable and you cannot wear them inside without squeaking. I thought my first pair of 16s were a bad pair from how much they squeaked so I returned them and the next pair I got was just as squeaky. ASICS is my favorite shoe brand but I hate the 16s. DO NOT BUY THE TRI NOOSA 16!
I’ve owned several pairs of NOOSA Tri and have always been impressed — until now. My NOOSA Tri 15s (purchased July 29, 2024) and even my older NOOSA Tri 14s (August 2023) held up well, with all pull tabs still intact after heavy use. I also own multiple pairs of Gel-Kayano and Gel-Nimbus, and their heel tabs are still strong. Unfortunately, the NOOSA Tri 16 has been a huge letdown. On the very first use, the pull straps tore apart (photos attached). This is unacceptable, especially for a shoe at this price point and from a brand I’ve trusted for years. Another noticeable downgrade: the soles have changed. The NOOSA Tri 14 and 15 were 100% quiet on gym floors, but the NOOSA Tri 16 squeak loudly on vinyl — these are the squeakiest shoes I’ve ever worn indoors. Comfort and fit are fine, but the build quality and material choices have clearly gone down. I hope ASICS takes this seriously and resolves both the pull tab durability and sole material issues before releasing the NOOSA Tri 17. As a loyal ASICS customer, this was extremely disappointing and makes me hesitant about future purchases.
I showed up to a 5k and realized I'd forgotten my race day shoes. There was a store nearby so I picked these up for the race. The fit was great. I have a narrow foot and these were perfect. The upper is stretchy and comfortable. Midsole was well cushioned, but firm and stable. I wouldn't call them plush, but I expect they'll do fine for runs to 10 miles or so. There is a big rocker in the forefoot and quite a bit of toe spring. Felt like it was rolling me forward, but nothing extreme and no pains. Finished the 5k within the top 10%. Not a personal best, but not the shoes fault. This is an excellent shoe. Probably not the best choice for a 5k, but reasonable. Not sure where they fit in my rotation, but daily trainer, tempo day or maybe even an occasional interval day will probably be fine.
I like the shoes how lever they make noise when I walk. I loved the 14 better for the bold color, design and sole. I only like this 16 as I think the cole is too thick and it make noise when I walk on certain surfaces. The colors are too soft and light. Overall a good shoe but not Great in comparison to the 14.
Not as comfy as the 13, but solid! A lot of material for a size 15, that causes the toe to bunch up when tied. Also, inside the toe area the material hits the top of the toe. Overall, responsive, non-stiff fast shoe and lightweight.
