Unfortunately, I'm going to have to give these a 1 star because the quality and longevity of these shoes is not great. I bought these from DSW in March of 2024. After only 4 months, and probably on 2 of those months actually spent hiking, the boots are already starting to come apart. I would expect hiking boots to last a lot longer. While I appreciated not having to break them in, and they are comfy enough, I cannot recommend something that doesn't last longer than 4 months. I've had other pairs of shoes last years, and those were being used a lot more than these boots.
I bought these boots to use for hikes with multiple water crossings. They are very comfortable out of the box and no break in period is needed. Unfortunately, they are not waterproof at all, I dont even think they are water resistant. My toes were wet even though my feet did not dip into the water. I stepped on multiple logs and rocks over the water crossings. I was not happy to be hiking with wet feet. I think these would be fine on hikes in warm weather with no water crossings or dew on the bushes and shrubs. The grip is ok, I was expecting something better.
Hiked the Black Hills & the Badlands - dry terrain & through streams, up steep inclines- i had great traction. The foot & ankle support kept the climbs (& declines) comfortable.
I bought these recently but I found that they aren't as supportive as they used to be.
We appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
Great and relatively light boots for traveling/walking with close to 20,000 steps daily! They kept my feet dry during a full day outdoors in the torrential rain. I also wore them during sunny warm days and my feet breathed so no sweaty socks at the end of the day. One tip - be sure to loosen your laces in the afternoon when your feet have swelled a bit from the day’s walking!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Bought on sale for a hiking trip in October. Tried them on and they are true to size and comfortable. I will break them in prior to the trip.
Sorry, but this is uncomfortable. If I hadn't used it, I would return it. It hurts my foot a lot, I have to leave the laces loose.
We are sorry to hear you did not love your Deverta Mids. We have passed this feedback on to the product team. Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know.
Solid shoe bottom, but really comfortable, light in these rocky, slipping hiking condition
Comfortable right out of the box and perfect for our trip to cold weather from Florida
Thanks for your great feedback!
Excellent waterproof shoes, comfortable and took very little time to break in.
