Purchased these and used them for the first time for exploring Carlsbad Caverns in NM and couldn’t be happier! Hiked over 6 miles in the caverns that day and absolutely no blisters or sore areas on my feet or ankles whatsoever! This is huge for me especially with new boots…needed no breaking in time! Very happy and pleased with my purchase…performed awesomely! It was cool in the caverns (50’s) but my feet stayed warm without sweating…my feet and ankles were not even feeling tired at the end of the day! Thank you Merrell for creating a boot that is comfortable, tough & cool to look at too! Performance is key but I wanted a boot that was stylish as well and I think you achieved that! 👍🏻 I purchased the red, tan & black color! Love them!
Luv them altogether!!! Simply looked for replacement of my previous luv’d pair; these were the closest ones to what wanted. Light weight, colors simple, yet clean alittle sporty. Comfort, every aspect covers protection, warmth, style, durabilities incrediable!
I’ve been wearing Moabs for years and they have taken me hiking in many parts of the world.. They are comfortable and reliable, and keep my feet dry in rain, mud, and during water crossings. The sole is grippy, giving me confidence on rocks, gravel, and other slippery spots. A new pair doesn’t even need to be broken in. I just put them on and go!
First time wearing Merrell and after hiking 40+ miles at Glacier National Park and living in the Appalachian Mountain range these boots held up great! From rocky trails to pretty much 3 inches of mud they are still going strong. My feet stay dry.
I purchased this during Black Friday for half off and hiked in Guatemala with them. They got me through my volcano hike and more.
I like the boot, it is my 4rth set and I get about 750 miles of rough hiking out of each set.
I took these boots hiking through waterfalls and rocky trails in Iceland, and they were incredible. They handled slippery, uneven terrain like a champ—great grip, waterproofing that actually works, and surprisingly comfortable for long hikes. My feet stayed warm and dry even when crossing shallow streams and walking in constant mist. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable boots for rugged, wet adventures.
Bought my original Merrells about 15 yrs. ago and loved them. Unfortunately, I blew out both my hiking shoes and boots in the same year. Found these Moab 3 Gore-Tex and have started breaking them in. So far, I love these equally. I buy a size 6.5 for a little extra room for thick socks for winter hiking and shoeing. Yes, they run a smidge wide but this allows for those thick socks. Great design bring lots of compliments from others. I wear them biking, hiking, and working currently. So far, they grip well on snow, but like all shoes, slip on ice. Highly recommend!
The boots were exactly what I needed for this adventure
Just like my Moab 2, these required no break in. I use them as my winter and snowshoeing boots as well. One thing that works for me is buying a full size larger than my usual shoe size. One flaw. There's nowhere on the back of the boot that has a smooth surface to stick the Velcro strip for my Dirty Girl gaiters. There's a weird piece of ribbon loop back there that doesn't do anything and it's in the exact spot where I used to have a smooth rubber surface to stick the strip on my previous Moabs. if I put a wider Velcro across that ribbon loop to attach to the rubber on either side, then it's too wide and I end up with naked Velcro on either side that's snagging on everything after the gaiter is on. In the photo, the new one is on the left and the old one is on the right.
