So lightweight and the waterproofing is legit! I was worried about taking them out in the snow and hail in Yellowstone, but they stood up to the test!
I bought these shoes for a trip to Quebec City at Christmas. I live in Texas. I wore them a day or two at home. My feet were comfortable and did not overheat. I've worn them now three days in QC and these are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had! They keep my feet warm and dry! I've walked several miles each day in them with zero problems. I wear them with wool socks and they feel true to size. I have lots of room to wiggle my toes around.
I broke these shoes out in Maui, Hawaii. The shoes were great on super rocky terrain. It was raining and the rocks were wet and these shoes were great at helping me not slip. They're also comfortable enough to be worn as casual shoes and look great! I will absolutely be purchasing another pair of Merrells!
I took this on my first trip to the western states and used them hiking in Estes State Park and Yellowstone, my legs were sore from the inclines and walking long before my feet ever where! They are extremely light weight making walking the inclines easier to go up. The waterproofing on them is fabulous to! I never had to worry about crossing small streams or pudles cause I could just walk through them.
I bought these for working at a plant nursery and from using my feet to push around rocks, splashing my feet with a hose to walking around in dirt piles they’ve held up really well! I had to switch the laces out when my dog ate the ends but they’re lace versatile!! I wear them 5 days a week for 8 hours and granted my feet hurt when I take them off but I find they have great ankle support.
I purchased these boots for a trip I was taking this summer. I recently fractured my ankle and had been wearing an air cast. Since I drive a manual transmission Jeep I wanted something I could wear I lieu of the cast that would keep my ankle from rolling. I received them quickly after I placed my order. The boots are very well made. Wore them to work in the rain and my feet stayed dry. They were comfortable for the first few hours. My only complaint is the area the goes across the foot, just below the toes. There is a piece of trim that is sew into this area. It causes the boot to be tight across this area when flexing your foot. This could totally be an issue specific to me and the width of my foot in that area. I was not able to wear them for my trip, as I was spending 8-10 hours a day driving and they were not comfortable for that purpose due to the consistent flexing when using the clutch to shift gears. I will continue to wear them to work as they are great for that purpose. Love the look of them and have gotten several complements.
I have arthritis in one ankle. In order to escape pain so I can hike I need strong ankle support. Merrells hiking boots do exactly that. I put them on, the upper part snugs around my ankle and BOOM! no pain to walk! (9.5 regular width women's)
Light weight, waterproof, and comfortable! Need to make sure the tounge fold sits the right way so it doesn’t rub, but I imagine it’ll soften over time and be less of an issue. Would recommend!
Hard upper material, extremely uncomfortable/ have a few Merrill’s and this is first time that was very unhappy, won’t try your shoes again disappointing!
Purchased these for my girlfriend and we have been hiking for the past few months. She says they are very comfortable and kept her feet completely dry.
