Merrell  Speed Strike 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's

Comfortable out the box! I loved the MQM mid boots and put over 400 miles on them and was hoping to buy a new pair but they are no longer being made :(. These are similar in weight and construction and almost as comfortable. I’ve tried the Moabs and find them to be a little too heavy and not as comfortable as the synthetic boots. Wore these on a 9 mile hike without doing any break in and had no real issues. I would recommend wearing mid rise socks to protect from some chafing at the boot top.

These shoes are much warmer than I expected. My feet felt hot in a store. I honestly can’t imagine wearing them in summer or during hikes in the mountains — they would be too warm. The outsole is also quite slippery on ice, which was disappointing considering they are marketed as outdoor / winter-friendly shoes. After about a one-hour walk, my feet felt tired, especially because of the high collar. The mid-height design puts pressure around the ankles and becomes uncomfortable over time. Overall, they might work for short walks in cold weather, but they were not a good fit for my needs.

I bought these because I will be in Germany outside during winter and needed something warm and waterproof. I bought this model specifically because they are vegan friendly, and I don’t buy anything made of leather. I’ve been wearing these all winter and they are the best hiking and walking boot I’ve ever had. They were comfortable from day 1, very warm, even down into the teens, and they seem very waterproof as well. I wholeheartedly recommend them. I’m only going to buy Merrells from now on - I love all my various Merrell shoes.

I really like these boots. I tried on over a dozen pairs before i ultimately chose these as my favorite. There was no need to break these in, I just put them on and they felt great! Lace them as tight as you want and you are good to go. I highly recommend them. I got the gray and teal color, super cute.

This is my one and only shoe I wear all the time, I live in Colorado. 4 seasons. I work, walk, shop and eat in this shoe. So much comfort and durability and waterproof. They clean up nicely in washer and dryer. I get compliments on how nice they look.

Just ordered these for my trip to Scotland in May. Comfortable and fit perfect! Will test them out on a few trails locally to break in and make sure they're comfortable while wearing. Very stylish for a hiking shoe

Took them on a 7 mile hike mountain hike with muddy terrain. Loved them - didn’t break them in at all. Feet were dry and supported. So happy with my purchase! Also they look great which is nice too.
