Awesome, unless you REALLY want it for music

The watch does everything I need it to do, plus some. Easy to wear, charge lasts as promised. However, the negative press Garmin gets is true; the watch will not stay connected to a bluetooth speaker to play music. I tried a UE Megaboom and a pair of brand new Bose QC II earbuds. Tried evey trouble shooting tactic given by Garmin- connection lasts betweeen 90-180 seconds then drops. So, if music is your priority, I suggest an Apple Watch. For me, it's a five start watch but for 1,000.00 I feel it should perform as advertised in ALL categories.

My 1st "Connected" Smartwatch - BIG Learning Curve
Brian
The Garmin Fenix7 Pro Sapphire Solar has a LOT more useful functions, but also a BIG learning curve from a Casio Pro Trek Ti 3258 (tides, moon) solar digital LCD. I wanted the solar battery life more than a brighter AMOLED display and did find setting the brightness to the highest setting is quite satisfactory in bright sunlight for the 7 Pro OWM MB analog watch face, and the fish, hike, cycling, walk, and other outdoor activities I use. I am still trying to figure out what buttons to press to quickly find all the activities, apps and settings. I also occasionally have annoying errors where the recorded GPS track takes an out and back leg that I did not actually do. In the Garmin Support Forum I discovered others are having the same issue and turning off Google Fit tracking may help. But the most annoying issue is the outdoor distance apps do not always cease and save when I press the Stop - Down - Stop button to end tracking activities even though both the red square stop icon and Saving screen had appeared, causing errors in the distance, elapsed time, and average speed results. The watch is also not recognized by my Windows laptop with a USB cable as a USB device and Garmin Express app.

LOVE IT SO FAR

1. MUCH LONGER BATTERY LIFE THAN FENIX 6, I HAVENT CHARGED IT FOR 2 WEEKS SO FAR AND AT 50%. 2. LOVE THE UPDATED FEATURES SUCH AS NAP TIME, SLEEP, POX. 3. ECG APP (NEW FEATURE BUT NEED TO DOWNLOAD) VERY COOL. 4. TOUCH SCREEN IS GREAT, NO MORE PUSHING BUTTONS. 5. SLEEP FEATURE SEEMS MORE ACCURATE THAN PREVIOUS. 6. UPGRADED POX/LED SENSORS TO 10 (FROM 4 IN FENIX 6). 7. NAP FEATURE AUTOMATICALLY ADDS NAP TIME TO SLEEP TIME AND SCORE. 8. I THOUGHT THE 51MM WATCH FACE WOULD BE TOO BIG BUT ITS PERFECT FOR MY ARM. 9.( iDaPro [4Pack] Screen Protector for Garmin fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar)-PERFECT GLASS SCREEN PROTECTER, NO MORE PLASTIC. 10. LEAVING IN DIRECT SUN (OUTSIDE) FOR 2 HOURS DIDNT SEEM TO DO MUCH TO BATTERY LIFE.

Replaced my 6X Pro with 7 X Pro Sapphire Solar

Replaced my 6X Pro with this and not disappointed one bit. The new refinements are noticeable at all levels. The satellite hook up is faster. The sensors seem more accurate measuring. I definitely like the sapphire lense which is durable and very clear. The battery with solar lasts extremely longer than the 6X. I wasn’t sure about the touch screen but love it. I was worried that I would be activating it all the time and it does not. Touch and swipe to view other options. Very nice. It is just an all around performer that will not disappoint the outdoor enthusiast.

I’m addicted!

I love my garmin. Ever since I first got my fenix 3 I can’t stop tracking everything. But with the need of an upgrade and longer battery requirements for ultra races, I invested in the fenix 7x pro. It’s a game changer! If I was sold on garmin before, I’m addicted to them now. I find out new features everyday and look to explore each and all as it has truly stepped my fitness level.

Solar does not work and freezes ul

I have so much LUX but it does nothing for the battery so the solar part does not work. I have had it in the water three times and it froze up every time. I power it off and back on and it works. Other than these two items, I love my Garmin Fenix 7x Pro Sapphire Solar. I just wish the solar worked and it would stop freezing up in water.

Absolutely love it

I bought it a month ago and I love it. Surprisingly comfortable for how big it is. Battery life is amazing. Perks of having transreflextive screen vs OLED to me were the outdoor lighting and sleeping at night with it. Visibility indoors takes a little bit but nothing bad at all. Overall 9.8/10

Amazing Features and Easy to Use

I bought this watch last month after being an Apple Watch user for years. I wanted a watch with more outdoor navigational features and wow did I get it and it still has all the fitness features plus amazing metrics. What surprised me the most was how easy it is to use. I was expecting a big learning curve but in less than 10 minutes I had this watch up and running. The buttons are easy to master. It has a touch screen also but I rarely use it. It did take mine about an hour to run all the updates the first time but now updates takes less than a min. I was on the fence becuase this is not a cheap watch but it’s worth every penny and more!

What an upgrade!

recently upgraded from the Garmin Fenix 5X to the Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire and I couldn’t be happier. Garmin really nailed it with this model. The new features are a game changer. The upgraded display is incredibly crisp, the solar charging actually makes a difference, and the flashlight feature is surprisingly useful. I also love the improved battery life and all the advanced performance metrics that keep me motivated and dialed in during workouts. It still has everything I loved about my 5X but better in every way: faster GPS, smoother interface, and more customization. Totally worth the upgrade if you’re on the fence!

LOVE IT

I hate to leave glowing reviews...but I love the Fenix Solar. I cycle about 100-200 miles /week and I dont have to charge it but every 3-4 weeks. My non solar fenix would be 2-3 weeks at best. I love the large screen and the integration with my other Garmin products such as 1030 cycling comp and HR monitors. I really love the ECG capability although lets face it if you are using Garmin products you are working out like a maniac so your ECG with be normal. They give you a bunch of legal screens to absolve them of missing cardiac disease and if your HR is below 60 (that includes everyone that is working out) it will say its abnormal. Love the watch.

This watch is great!

I bought this as an upgrade to my Tactix Delta and I’m not disappointed! It has about the same screen but it seems a bit brighter and it has tons more features. The new ekg app and more comprehensive health apps are great new features. The new sensors seem much more accurate and the multiband GPS system locks to satellites much faster. The touchscreen is a real bonus but having used the Tactix Delta for so long I sometimes forget it’s an option. One suggestion, as soon as you get this update it. Then update it again. There are a bunch of updates you have to do before you have all the features. They seem to be sequential so keep checking for updates.
