Comfort in city or country

This flannel jacket has a lot going for it. It is warm enough for a chilly day but works just as well with the front open when the temperature rises. A good choice for late fall and early spring given this versatility. The jacket looks nice and fits in well in an urban setting but is more than tough enough to handle outside tasks as well. The buttons are snaps which, at first, I thought I wouldn't like, but turned out to be my favorite feature. The only thing that brings this down from a five star is the fleece lining. The lining only covers the torso and not the arms. While I understand this was probably a choice to keep the arms from looking and feeling too bulky, it is something I want in an fleece lined jacket.

Nice layer for quick jaunts in the cold

This is a great ‘shacket’ that is likely well on it’s way to replacing my other layers as my ‘go-to’ for quick jaunts out of the house in the cold—whether that’s to town for some errands or out on the local trails for a morning walk. The fleece lined torso is warm and comfortable without being too bulky and the exterior seems like it is durable and will hold up to some abuse. The arms aren’t lined with the same fleece, but some nylon fabric instead. Some may not like that you miss out on the fleece warmth on your limbs, but I like this as a feature that makes putting the jacket on much easier as you don’t have to worry about the fleece causing the sleeve to bunch up, even though the nylon isn’t as nice against the skin as the fleece would be if you’re only wearing short sleeves. The snap buttons are also a great feature that make make it easy to button and bundle up quickly. I’ve worn this in temps from the low 30s to the low 50s and from light rain to sun and have been happy with the warmth across those ranges. I’m 6’2” and 215lbs with a larger frame and am very happy with the fit of the large size.

Comfortable fleece lined flannel, layers well

This jacket is stylish and not too bulky for a lined flannel. To my pleasant surprise the inside of the arms is lined with a nylon-like material, which makes putting this on and taking it off a breeze - unlike some other fleece lined jackets where you arms can get stuck. It fits well through out the torso and is true to size there. I typically wear a large, and also wear a large in this jacket. The first picture shows me wearing this over a heavy half-zip and T-shirt - so it layers well. My only complaint - and it is a complaint about many items - is that I'm fairly tall and have long arms (dress shirt size 36/37) This flannel's arms are on the short side of normal. On a normal shirt that is sometimes ok - you can roll up the sleeves or put on a jacket. But on an outer layer, it leaves my wrists exposed. This isn't really different than a lot of things, but I had hoped it would have longer than normal arms.

Great jacket!

I really like this jacket! Here’s my summary: 1. Shipping and packaging: it shipped in a normal plastic bag, folded nicely, and with only a single tag and no weird factory smells. 2. Size and fit: the jacket is perhaps a little on the larger size, so if you wanted to have a light jacket or hoodie under it, it should fit without any issues. I found the fit was perfect for my frame, 220 at 5’9 male of average to slightly athletic build. I have very wide shoulders and it fits basically perfect. It might hang a bit baggy on a smaller framed person. 3. Comfort: the inside is nice and fluffy, very warm during my early usage. In weather under 30 deg F, it was all I needed for doing a light hike combined with a hat and gloves. Warmer weather, this is very toasty, probably too warm for most. Two features I really like are the puffer style internal lining on the sleeves (for those like me who roll up sleeves all the time) and the buttons are very easy to work with while wearing gloves. This just makes taking the jacket on and off super easy which is exactly what you want for something you’ll wear with layers. I didn’t get to see how it holds up to intense wind but it blocks the usual mild winds, and while it’s not really water repellent, it took some time for moisture to wick its way into the inside while wearing during a drizzle. The jacket does take a little while to dry back out though, which is kind of expected with this type of material. Quality: this jacket can definitely hold up to abuse. After chopping a bunch of wood wearing it, it still looks near brand new, and no indication of any strain on the shoulder and pit seams. Overall: extremely nice jacket that has a snazzy look while still functioning exactly how you’d like for a winter jacket for cold, mostly dry days. If I have to be critical, I did notice that some material bunches up under your arm pits. Not even close to a deal breaker for me, but perhaps could be considered uncomfortable if you were wearing a backpack and doing long hikes. Also, just a note that the collar on the neck doesn’t offer much in the way of protection or warmth, so a good scarf would be recommended for the cold.

Jac Shirt

This is a nice jacket to throw on quickly to take the dog out or get the mail. I really like the snaps and the fit is just right. I’m 6’2” and 200 lbs and large fits well. I purchased the black and white and it’s a versatile color. The construction quality and materials are above average given the close out sale price.

Comfort for days!

I use this shirt jacket to keep me warm in my cold office during the day and over a base layer for outdoor walks, gatherings, bon fires. I’m 5’7 205lbs athletic’ish build wear XL and it fits perfect paired with a standard weight hoodie. With just a base layer this jacket still fits good and looks great. The material is hearty and will likely last for many years. This is the garment your kids with fight over when you finish up here and head out into the universe :-)
