The women’s version of this shoe model is wider than the men’s version equivalent sizing. I am usually a very wide 8.5-9 due to serious bunions. The 8.5 was very good length wide and just slightly tight width wise. I went up one size and the length is now slightly too wide but excellent width wise. Since the back heel has a silicone bump on the inner part of the shoe, it keeps my heel from sliding up and down. I’ve not had a single blister and I’ve worn them over 20 miles already on pavement, yet to try trails and test durability. Love the lightweight feel. Wish the laces were not round as the come loose and untied no matter how I’ve tried knotting them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, this is my first pair of Keen, and what first caught my eye was, I admit, the incredibly cute & bright color of these shoes! However, they really blew me away with how comfortable they were!! Although I normally wear a 7 Wide, there was no wide option for these shoes, but the reviews said that Keen run wide. They were right! There’s plenty of room across the instep, and the shoes are light but offer plenty of support. I’ve worn them on walks around the neighborhood & then put them through a test at an all-day Air Show! Success!!
I love these. They are truly the lightest shoe I have ever experienced. Size down; I needed a full size smaller than other brands. They somehow make my huge feet look smaller! I normally need wides but these are very roomy. Like other reviewers have noted, the heel was stiff at first and caused some rubbing initially, but they softened up after a few days and now are perfect. And the purple/orange color? GORGEOUS. I get compliments everywhere I go.
I have worn Keen shoes of every kind for years. I was excited to order these for walking. I was sorely disappointed when I received them. These shoes have dime store quality thin flat insoles. What happened to the quality insoles that I long depended on from Keen? It makes no sense to build a quality shoe then drastically cheapen them with flat thin foam insoles. I returned them and sadly will need to find a new brand of shoe to be loyal to.
Sizing is really weird and they hit your ankles and heels in a place that cuts into them. Since the shoe is a hard recycled material, they will chew you up. The sizing is too big and too small all at once. I wear size 8 Hokas, which are like boats in appearance but fit well. These things fit much bigger in width while also having the wide toe that is also a bit short all at once. So it’s possible you could push into the front. If for nothing else than your feet moving around too much in there and crashing about. That wasn’t an issue for me since the length of the shoe was also too long. They were just all around gigantic for me with an 8, which is the sizing Keen suggested after I answered all the sizing questions. It’s possible a 7.5 may fit but I’m reluctant to try it. The color and overall look is cool but the rest is an unfortunate no. I wish I loved them.
I really wanted to keep these hikers. They’re lightweight, cute, have a sturdy sole, and they we’re comfortable out of the box. However, I found the heel to be too wide and loose. (Maybe they run wide overall but I found the toe box to be normal.) So while the shoes were perfect in every other way, I had to return them. I hope Keen improves on this model because I’d definitely try them again!
Most comfortable shoes for walking or hiking! Roomy enough for me to add some arch support insoles to make them perfect for me!! This is my second pair…my others are the same, only waterproof. I love both pair! Fit is probably a bit large, but I wear a 10, ordered a 10 & have room for my insoles and they’re perfect!!
On some surfaces this pair of shoes is like ice skating. I would say outdoors only. Also, I thought these shoes would be wider. Where they are sewed together at the toe on the side rub my little toe something awful. The look of the shoes are great and everything else feels good. I pray they break in and quit rubbing.
My feet love these shoes! The heel is a little higher than I am used to, so I wear a little higher socks (normally I would wear the no-show socks, so I just bought regular ones). Would 100% recommend these for everyday use. But I don’t recommend them in the snow. . they become pretty slippery.
They are very comfortable and stylish. Don't look like hiking shoes, more like sneakers, which is preferred by me for urban hikes. The only downside is the smell. They smell so strongly of rubber / plastic / tar that it smells up my entire entry room. I hope it goes away at some point soon.
